Area Manager - Area North and East

**Requirements**:

- A relevant B Degree in the Social Sciences, Social Development

fields or related field.
- Up to 8 years’ managerial experience within the social (and

community) development environment
- Sound knowledge of legislation applicable to Local Government as

well as Council policies, processes and procedures
- Ability to interface at political level
- Experience in project and performance management

methodology
- Valid Code EB driver’s licence and own vehicle

Key Performance Areas
- Leading, managing, coordinating and monitoring the financial and

human resources of an Area to give effect to the social

development of communities through relevant development services

**and programmes by**:

- Conducting community profiling, ensuring community engagement

and targeted interventions, programme planning, delivery and

implementation at area level
- Facility management of ECD Centres, Arts and Culture facilities etc,
- Implementing of the ECD framework and ward allocation

programmes
- Engaging with various stakeholders in the area to promote liaison

and information sharing
- Managing the productivity and performance of human resources
- Controlling, managing and monitoring the allocation of funding

and expenditure for the area
