The African Union Development Agency invites applicants who are citizens of African Union Member States for the post ofHead of Human Resources.

AUDA-NEPAD is seeking an accomplished Head of Human Resources to lead our HR Division. Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, this dynamic leader will be central to shaping our workforce strategy, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and driving HR initiatives aligned with our mission to transform Africa.

**Required Skills and Competencies**
- Strong knowledge of African developmental dynamics and AUDA-NEPAD.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and team management capabilities.
- Proficiency in conflict resolution, advising senior management, and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Ability to identify key strategic issues, opportunities and risks.
- Ability to generate and communicate broad and compelling organisational direction.
- Ability to communicate links between the Organization's strategy and the work unit's goals.
- Lead staff in the HR Division and take responsibility for delegated assignments.
- Establish and maintain relationships with a broad range of people to understand needs and gain support.
- Anticipate and resolve conflicts by pursuing mutually agreeable solutions and consistently drive for change and improvements.

**Education and Experience**:
Education: Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, Psychology, Education, or a related field and (10) years of relevant experience. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in the above fields and 12 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in a managerial position.

Experience: A proven track record in human resources management and organisational transformation, particularly within public or international organisations

**Remuneration**:
Indicative basic salary of **US$50,746**per annum plus other entitlements e.g. Post Adjustment (57% of basic salary), Housing allowance ($26,496 per annum), pension (19% of basic salary) in conformity with the rules and procedures applicable to internationally recruited staff of the African Union.
