Project Manager Officer

**THE ROLE**
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
The position entails the following responsibilities:
- PMO Strategy: Develop and implement a PMO strategy that aligns with Traderoot’s overall goals and objectives.
- Project Process: Establish and maintain project management processes and methodologies that ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
- Staff Management: Manage PMO staff, including setting performance expectations and providing coaching and development opportunities
- KPIs: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success of PMO and projects.
- Project Delivery: Oversee the delivery of projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.
- Financial and Risk Management: Manage the financial aspects of projects, including budgeting, forecasting and risk management. This will include to identify, evaluate and manage project risks and issues and ensure contingency plans are in place.
- Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and partners to ensuring that their needs and expectations are met as well as to drive successful projects.
- Represent the PMO in HOD meetings.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- A bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, or related field
- Proven experience in leading PMO’s, preferably in the fintech or payments industry will be advantages.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g. PMI, Agile)
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyse data and draw insights to inform decision making.
- Experience with financial and risk management in projects.
- Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion
- Able to complete projects in a timely manner
- Budget management experience
**ADDITIONAL SKILLS**
The following areas of expertise would be advantageous in this role:
- Knowledge of IT service management practices such as ITIL
- Basic understanding of IT networks, firewalls and network routing
- Operational security awareness
- Experience with platform and operating system architecture
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
- Ability to perform operating system and software installations
- Knowledge of the Oracle Java Runtime Environment
- Knowledge of databases and Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with writing SQL queries
- Exposure to the ISO 8583 payment protocol
- Knowledge of common protocols and standards such as TCP/IP, RDP, VPN, SSL/TLS and FTP
