As a Security Senior Installer/Technician specializing in Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), Networks and Alarm Systems, your primary responsibility is to ensure the efficient installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems for residential and commercial clients. You will play a crucial role in safeguarding properties and assets by deploying state-of-the-art security technologies.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Installation**: Proficiently install CCTV cameras, IP networks, alarm systems, access control systems, and related security equipment according to industry standards and manufacturer specifications.
- **System Configuration**: Configure CCTV cameras, NVRs, networks and firewalls and alarm panels to ensure seamless integration and functionality within the client's environment.
- **Testing and Commissioning**: Conduct thorough testing and commissioning of installed security systems to guarantee optimal performance and compliance with client requirements.
- **Maintenance and Upgrades**: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and software updates on security systems to ensure reliability and effectiveness. Recommend and implement system upgrades as necessary.
- **Troubleshooting**: Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with CCTV cameras, alarm sensors, wiring, and control panels. Provide timely and effective solutions to restore functionality.
- **Client Training**: Provide comprehensive training to clients on the operation and maintenance of security systems, ensuring they understand how to use the equipment effectively.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, upgrades, and service calls. Complete all necessary paperwork, including job tickets, inspection reports, and equipment inventory.
- **Customer Service**: Interact professionally with clients to address inquiries, provide technical support, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Communicate effectively to manage expectations and deliver exceptional service.
- **Safety Compliance**: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment. Comply with regulatory requirements and company policies related to occupational health and safety.
- **Continuous Learning**: Stay updated on the latest advancements in CCTV, alarm systems, and security technologies. Participate in training programs and certifications to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Proven experience (5 years) in installing and servicing CCTV cameras, networks, firewalls, alarm systems, and access control systems.
- Sophos, Milestone, Axis, Hikvision, Impro and Microtik certified.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong understanding of networking principles and IP-based security systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCTV Installation Technician, Alarm Technician) preferred.

**Salary**: R15 000,00 - R30 000,00 per month

**Education**:

- Bachelors (preferred)

**Experience**:

- IP networking: 3 years (required)
- Firewall Configuration and Set-up: 1 year (preferred)
- CCTV installation and configuration: 3 years (required)
- Access Control Experience (Impro etc.): 3 years (preferred)
- VMS configuration (Milestone, etc.): 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Sophos Certificate (required)
- Microtik certificate (preferred)
- CCTV camera installation certificate (Hikvision, Axis, Bosh) (required)
- Drivers License (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 50% (required)
