Manager of Retail Operations

We are on the hunt for an experienced Operations Manager with a strong Retail background. You will be overseeing operations of 16 stores/kiosks in Gauteng, online sales, wholesale into FMCG as well as the Head Office which is situated in Honeydew.

You will be the glue that holds the business together. Responsibilities will include, hiring, performance, evaluation, and developing the team but are not limited to. Your primary goal will be to increase our organization's productivity, efficiency, and profitability, and will be the company’s second in command.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Produce annual operation forecasting report and strategy.
- Oversee and evaluate day-to-day operations.
- Identify new market opportunities to accelerate growth.
- Present operational strategy recommendations to the CEO based on your market research and data analysis.
- Ensure excellent execution across all departments.
- Work to build and maintain Client/Retailer partnerships while managing ongoing client goals and KPI objectives.
- Manage day-to-day store operations including inventory management, sales generation, and payroll.
- Manage scheduling and payroll for team; conduct performance evaluations, promotions, and terminations when necessary.
- Manage the day-to-day oversight of funding requirements for vendors, retailers and wholesalers.
- Provide leadership and direction to teams while motivating and interacting with employees to achieve continuous improvement.
- Monitor KPI's and adjust the focus of improvement efforts as necessary to meet target goals.
- Monitor all orders, shipments, service, inventory, and points of sale (POS) to maximize open-to-buy.
- Prepare sales and customer relations reports by analysing and categorizing sales information, identifying and investigating customer complaints and service suggestions.
- Verse in HACCP and OSHA policies and procedures, with experience in successful audit compliance and report/investigation procedures).
- Increase the ROI by professionalising the purchase procedures.
- Managing stock control and inventory checks.
- Having a keen eye on budgets and budgetary changes.
- Communicating changes in an order process to relevant parties.
- Ensuring that health and safety regulations are followed.
- Documenting procedures for third-party monitoring.
- Creating and monitoring projects and teams.
- Reviewing workloads and manpower to ensure targets are met.
- Supporting the CEO or executive team’s vision and process ideals.
- Ensuring staff working on processes are happy and operating efficiently.
- Supporting all functions of the business to work together.

**Job requirements**:

- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Degree or Operations, Business, Supply Chain or similar
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role
- Strategic planning and business development experience
- Strong written and verbal and presentation skills
- Strong leadership and organizational skills

**Salary**: R70,000.00 - R90,000.00 per month
