**Role Purpose**:
The **Head of Origination** is responsible for the continuous evaluation and optimization of all aspects of the origination business processes, direct marketing sales strategy and activities of the loan origination, and provides strategic input to the business on Customer Lifecycle Management through ongoing refinement of origination communications and processes across all origination channels. To ensure that all acquisition channels are running efficiently & profitably supported by the product strategy and customer segmentation.
The primary purpose of the role is to grow, manage and enhance Capfin’s’ sales and channel strategy; Identify new opportunities and process enhancements that are commercially viable; Work closely with senior stakeholders at all levels within the group to ensure sustainable growth and development throughout the origination and customer life cycle.
**Key Performance Areas**:
**1. **Origination Strategy Alignment**
- Engages Commercial executive and relevant business owners in an advisory capacity to optimise customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Provide strategic input to the overall loan origination strategy
- Ensure effective management of strategic projects in the different origination channels
- Understand impact of regulatory compliance on loan operations and work closely with the compliance department to ensure compliance.
- Consult different functional areas that influence the transformation and execution of the origination strategy
- Interpret and analyse relevant data to gain insights into commercially viable products (through the door and online)
- Contribute towards the product performance targets and business objectives
- Project manage and implement selected strategic initiatives
- Digitally transform account management processes where financially viable
**2. **Business Process Management**
- Identify and implement new on-boarding enhancements to improve customer on-boarding experience that create product awareness & encourage customer retention
- Monitor all origination channels and recommend initiatives to ensure all origination channels are optimal and supported by the product strategy and customer segmentation models
- Evaluate existing origination processes
- Determine business process improvements and coordinate with internal & external stakeholders
- Project manage all aspects related to implementation of changes to business processes
- Revising & updating all standard operating procedures and policies
- Obtain input from business process owners; consult or coordinate with cross functional teams on requirement for improvements
- Ensure individual involved in management and operations of different processes are trained and educated on improved business processes
- Presenting progress reports to relevant stakeholders
- Present to executive member proposed changes for approval and prioritisation
- Represents the customer in the implementation of strategic projects in the different origination channels.
- Ensure that a performance monitoring system/process is in place to effectively monitor operational performance and trends within the relevant systems
- Communicate key performance indicators and insights across various levels of the business
**3. **New Business Activities**
- Identify, plan and drive new loan initiatives of current loan book
- Identify, plan and drive Direct Marketing initiatives by working closely with internal and external stakeholders
- Identify and implement new in-store personal selling initiatives to improve in-store sales
- Ensure that a performance monitoring system/process is in place to effectively monitor sales performance and trends within the credit life cycle
**4. **Engagement Management with Strategic Partners**
- Develop & manage the retail distribution Network to drive loan Acquisitions in store
- Partner and Develop the retail brands loans book with the development and implementation of the sales strategy
- Manage the operational relationship with retail and digital partners through frequent communication and established feedback mechanisms
- Manage the expectations of retail and digital partners regarding operational activities, marketing initiatives and technical enhancements
- Manage the expectations of retail and digital partners regarding technical enhancements
- Monitor the performance of retail and digital partners and recommend improvements and opportunities where applicable
- Identify and drive the implementation of reporting requirements linked to new initiatives by engaging internal cross-functional stakeholders and external stakeholders

- Represent the organization as the key stakeholder at various committees and forums
- Network with group stakeholders and leverage from the group’s best practices
