**Purpose of the Job**:
**Job Objectives**:
Architect and design medium to highly complex technology solutions (e.g. involving several departments, new technology, integration of many technology types, medium risk, change impact and/or visibility).
Develop and maintain an understanding of the technology strategy and business priorities for [Financial Services] in the enterprise.
Develop Shoprite’s [Financial Services] landscape roadmap and blueprints in line with the strategic business direction
Maintain, socialize, and enforce [Financial Services] system standards, keeping technology stakeholders up to date with changes in the technology standards highlighting potential impact to the enterprise.
Serve as the [Financial Services] systems authority for all technologies and provide technical guidance and leadership in technology proposals, RFIs, RFPs, and project teams.
Keep abreast of the latest [Financial Services] technology trends and emerging technologies, determine the potential impact on the enterprise, and drive adoption as deemed appropriate.
Create and present reference architectures as advice on the [Financial Services] architecture strategy for the organization.
Serve as the senior design authority as it relates to the [Financial Services] domain and provide technical guidance and leadership in solution proposals, RFIs, RFPs, and project teams.
Partner with the Enterprise Architect and other Solution Architects in support of the definition and development of the overall enterprise solution landscape.
Detect critical deficiencies in [Financial Services] architectures and recommend improvements.
Work with external service providers to drive projects to successful implementation.
Review external and internal designs for [Financial Services] systems from a risk and technology perspective.
Ensure applicable architecture and design reviews are conducted for retail solutions in line with the defined IT governance and processes.
Provide architectural oversight and guidance to development teams to ensure high-quality technical solution designs during the detailed design, build, test and deploy phases that conforms to architecture principles and standards.

**Qualifications**:
Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science.
TOGAF certification?.?

**Experience**:
+4 years’ experience in a Senior Domain Architect role
Solid IT industry experience across all aspects of IT projects, from business analysis, architectures, system analysis and design through development, testing, implementation, and production support (SDLC)
[Financial Services] lndustry experience with a solid understanding of [Financial Services] business processes.
Proven experience creating [Financial Services] solutions, building and maintaining reliable and scalable solutions as well as experience working with varied forms of data infrastructures
Thorough understanding of different integration methods (ALE/IDOC, web services, Managed File Transfers, ETL, queues, streaming, etc.) and integration technologies (ESB, ETL, API Gateways, API Portals, sFTP, etc.)
Strong design and architecture skills with a proven track record delivering well designed enterprise class systems of medium to high complexity
Thorough understanding of and experience with identification and formulation of solution architecture and solution alternatives and their assessment
Experience with current research and standards in Solution Architecture
Demonstrated working knowledge of Agile ways of working and practices
Experience with cloud, including AWS and Azure
Experience with delivering architecture strategies
Project management experience of small to mid-sized projects?
Retail industry experience with an understanding of retail business processes
