Opportunity Available Our client in the FMCG Sector is looking to employ a Precision Machinist to join their dynamic team in East London.

**Purpose of the job**:

- The Purpose of the position is to assist in the Engineering Department lower risk of creating mistakes and producing subpar outputs, precision machining can dramatically reduce the cost of manufacturing.
- Precision machining of key ways, flat surfaces, specialized parts, shafts, boring shafts, threads, facing off of machined parts.
- Operates and maintains lathe and milling machines.
- Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production.
- Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping.
- Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task.
- Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.
- Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary.
- Maintains inventory of completed products.
- Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects.
- Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.
- Maintains a safe and clean workstation.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

- Milling Machine - Lagun FU4-L
- Lathe - Colchester Mastiff 1400
- Lathe - CY Series cy-l 1640G
