**Position overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Conduct thorough assessments and audits of installed solar PV systems to ensure compliance with local codes and regulations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of compliance inspections, reports, and corrective actions taken to address non-compliance issues.
- Stay current with the latest changes in electrical codes and standards, interpreting and implementing them within the organisation to maintain continuous compliance eg. SANS10142 and NRS097-2
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop and update electrical compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines for the organisation
- Lead investigations into electrical incidents, accidents, or near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Implement quality control measures to verify that electrical installations and equipment conform to prescribed standards and specifications
- Provide technical assistance to clients and other team members as needed.
- Attends regular, scheduled Management meetings with team leaders.
- Work closely with field operation managers and senior management to achieve company goals

**Skills Required**:

- Valid Wireman's license and ability to issue certificates of compliance
- Valid Department on labour registration
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the Solar / Electrical field.
- Strong understanding of electrical and solar theory and relevant codes and regulations.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time-management skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to interact with clients and team members in a professional manner.
- Ability to work at heights and in outdoor environments if needed.
- Valid driver's license and own transport
- Able to work under pressure with a sense of urgency.
- Unquestionable ethics and integrity, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R18,000.00 - R25,000.00 per month

**Experience**:

- Wiremans License (required)
