The HR Assistant at The Silo Hotel is responsible for ensuring that all people-related policies, practices, procedures and systems are efficiently, consistently, accurately and timeously processed and recorded. While The Royal Portfolio's purpose is _“To give our guests a complete experience and a perfect stay”_, our Staff Values include _"To recognise, reward and uplift" _and _"To have passionate and expert staff"_, and it is here that the HR Assistant will have the most impact.

**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Ensuring that:

- Organisational reporting structures (organigram) and Job Profiles are updated and kept on record for reference as required
- Recruitment activity and administration is efficiently, accurately and timeously processed
- Standard operating procedures are documented, audited annually, updated as required and made available for all employees as requested
- Learning & Development interventions & activities are accurately documented, recorded, collated and filed to support L&D planning, SETA engagements, learnerships, rebate claims and SAQA requirements
- Poor performance, disciplinary, misconduct and grievance documentation is timeously and accurately collated and recorded
- Payroll administration is accurately, timeously and efficiently processed (salaries, wage, benefits, statuary deductions, etc.)

**TECHNICAL & FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES**
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Human Resources support position
- Knowledge of Hospitality labour law and disciplinary procedures
- Technical & functional competence in all areas of the HR value chain
- Highly computer literate across various platforms - Excel, PowerPoint, Google Forms, Sage, ESS, etc
- Ability to think creatively & innovatively
- Solution-orientated, ‘can do’ attitude
- Very good attention to detail, accuracy
- Analytical and numerate
- Well organised, methodical, systematic
- Assertive & boundaried in a warm and non-aggressive manner

South African citizenship is advantageous. A valid work permit is essential if you are not in possession of a South African ID document.
