**Duties & Responsibilities**
Management of the maintenance team to ensure appropriate use of resources for all operations.
People management and development of the maintenance team.
Planning and scheduling of maintenance work to ensure maximum operational efficiency and minimize plant downtime.
Ensure all maintenance operations are conducted in a safe and controlled manner with particular emphasis on Health and Safety and Environmental standards.
Management of maintenance budgets, utilities and daily maintenance costs.
Management of suppliers to ensure cost effective and timely delivery of spares and services and to ensure work is carried out to the highest standard.
Manage preventive maintenance system to deliver an effective planned maintenance programme that maximises equipment availability and leverages maintenance best practices.
Advise on new projects and support overall project execution with a focus on safety, schedule, and budget adherence while complying with good engineering practices, company policies, regulations, and codes.
Be actively involved in lean initiatives to drive efficiencies.
Management of spare parts, stock control, and maintenance stores purchasing.
Participate in Manufacturing/Operations meetings as required.
Facilitate regular meetings with site health & safety team, site engineering, and site facilities teams.

**Desired Experience & Qualification**
Matric.
A diploma or degree in Engineering.
Relevant 5 years’ experience in a similar supervisory management role.
Experience in equipment automation.
Experience in Lean Manufacturing.
A working knowledge of industrial refrigeration is preferred.
Strong business knowledge and ability to work with various departments within the organisation.
Excellent Communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
Looking for someone who is customer centric, with a hands on approach to problem solving and is highly driven.
