A fast-growing, dynamic group of companies operating in the Mobility space is in search of a Operations Manager for our Fleet Management Division.

To develop, lead, plan and implement an effective and integrated operations strategy in order to drive the short
- and long-term profitability of the Fleet Division. This involves implementing new business development initiatives, oversight / management of multiple contracts / service level agreements (SLA’s), overseeing compliance to SLA’s and driving profitable operations of all contracts through successful stakeholder engagements and relationships

A minimum Degree (NQF Level 7) in Commerce / Business Administration / Transport / Operations Management / Supply Chain Management, but ideally a Masters in Commerce / Business Administration / Transport / Operations Management / Supply Chain Management will be advantageous
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in fleet management
- 5 years’ strategic management experience / Senior Management Experience

Fleet leasing / maintenance management / contract management experience

The duties would entail, but is not limited to the following:
**Strategy Implementation**
- Develops and implements an integrated operations management strategy and system in alignment with Afrirent’s overall strategy, business objectives and targets
- Monitors competitor activity, fleet demand and market demand
- Drafts, maintains and implements all relevant policies, procedures and processes
- Identifies and makes recommendations for improvements and enhancements to improve the overall customer experience
- Implements overall and effective risk management i.e. identifies potential risks in contracts and with clients and monitors known risks and develops mitigations
- Monitors adherence to compliance requirements
- Monitors, manages and tracks the achievement of key performance indicators and revenue targets
- Identifies best practice trends and opportunities to enhance existing policies, processes and procedures
- Analyses the overall budget / expenses for the Operations Division and determines the most cost-effective and efficient means of service delivery
- Develops a profitable business model for the Operations Division to ensure future growth and sustainability
- Provides input into the annual Afrirent budget

**Operational Management**
- Manages the Fleet and Waste operations and oversees that all standard operating procedures and protocols are adhered to
- Ensures compliance with transportation-related laws and regulations
- Sets and monitors the achievement of targets and addresses areas of concern
- Monitors, negotiates and manages all client and vendor contracts and service level agreements (SLA’s)
- Negotiates and optimises beneficial pricing options with the various original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s) and body suppliers
- Provides project management oversight on fleet and waste projects
- Oversees safety, risk and quality management of the complete fleet
- Ensures that all contracts are financially sustainable through thorough planning and protocol management
- Manages SLA’s to ensure full and continuous compliance
- Implements comprehensive route optimisation planning and protocols to reduce costs and unnecessary expenditure
- Oversees administrative compliance and ensures that administrative, financial, stock, procurement and expenditure procedures are carried out correctly
- Follows up on escalated / long outstanding customer accounts
- Monitors the achievement of results and develops action plans to address issues identified and to improve results
- Addresses areas of concerns and puts plans in place to ensure compliance with SLA's
- Attends to escalated matters, queries or complaints from clients and vendors
- Provides guidance and feedback to the business regarding fleet and waste-related matters
- Follows up with customers on outstanding payments
- Manages, monitors and maintains optimum stock levels
- Identifies and implements innovative and proactive solutions to improve processes
- Oversees audit compliance to ensure that all audits conducted are successful and fully compliant
- Monitors that Afrirent vehicles are utilised and maintained according to company policies and procedures
- Oversees that the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are strictly adhered to

**Reporting**
- Provides regular reports and feedback to Executive Management
- Reviews and reports comprehensively on operational statistics
- Ensures high-quality and timely submission of all narrative reports and

deliverables to all stakeholders
- Conducts periodic site visits to monitor implementation and service delivery
- Responds to audit queries

**Financial Management**
- Develops the annual Operations budget
- Monitors the operating and financial results against plans and budgets
- Ensures that growth targets are met and takes remedial action where necessary
- Utilises management reporting and trends to create financial
