Midweight Copywriter

We are looking for a talented **Mid-weight** Copywriter **to join our Creative team.

**Summary of main duties include but not limited to**:

- Translate a brief and the strategic requirements into a compelling creative solution
- Present work to the Creative Director and the Creative Group Head
- Together with an Art Director, generate effective, innovative and compelling creative concepts for individual adverts or campaigns based on sound strategies
- Write copy for Radio, TV, Print and Electronic/Digital media
- Write and produce for Radio
- Direct and produce effective, impactful and compelling advertising that reflects insight into the task, the brand and the target market
- Direct Radio towards a high-quality final product
- Keep abreast of creative trends and opportunities
- Take ownership of your tasks and actively manage the creative process to progress towards deadline

**Minimum relevant experience and skills/attributes required**:

- A tertiary qualification in Copywriting and/or Advertising
- At least 2 years of Copywriting experience within an advertising agency - **experience on Retail clients a bonus**:

- A portfolio that reflects creative Copywriting proficiencies - **Retail work a bonus**:

- Proficient in MS Word / PowerPoint / Keynote
- Bilingual - a good command of both languages (English and Afrikaans - both verbal and written)
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong multi-tasking skills
- Understand advertising as a selling tool,** especially in the Retail space**:

- Ability to work within a team as well as independently
- Ability to remain calm in a highly pressurized environment
- Assertive
- "Out of the box" creative thinking
- Resilient and able to accept guidance and respond well to criticism
- Meticulous attention to detail
