**Position: ASP Centre Coordinator BHS/MIM**

An exciting yet dynamic job opportunity has become available within the programmes department at our Bonteheuwel High and Mimosa Primary Centres, Cape Town.

The Amy Foundation is a non-profit organisation (NGO) that offers various programmes to develop and empower youth, ages 5-35, reaching over 1600 youth everyday living in challenged and vulnerable communities within the Western Cape.

We are recruiting for an experienced, passionate, flexible, and driven individual to occupy the **ASP** **Centre Coordinator** position within a fast pace and dynamic working environment. The role will report directly to the ASP Programmes Manager.

**Specific duties and responsibility include, but not limited to**:

- Coordinate and supervise the activities of learners, facilitators, interns and other subordinates.
- Coordinates activities of ASP’s and staff to ensure optimum efficiency and compliance with appropriate policies, procedures, and specifications.
- Prepares monthly reports and records on progress and status of ASP’s or provide other special reports for management or outside agencies as required.
- Develops and schedules ASP activity work plan in accordance with specifications and funding limitations; oversees daily operations and coordinates activities of the work plan, determine priorities, and ensure necessary materials are provided.
- Evaluates ASP activities for effectiveness and develops improved methods; devises evaluation methodology and implements; analyses results and recommends and/or takes appropriate action.
- Maintains direct contact with personnel of various outside organizations, such as Edmund Rice Justice Desk, HOD and Principals of the school and entities associated with Centre projects such as government and community organizations.
- Confers with and advises Facilitators, Learners, volunteers and Interns and others to provide technical advice, problem solving assistance, answers to questions and centre goals and policy interpretations; refers to appropriate department or person when unable to respond.
- Attend to the following activities:

- Collect, collate, and distribute learner registrations, attendance registers and lesson plans.
- Submit time sheets of facilitators.
- Conduct weekly meetings with facilitators and staff.
- Conduct Learner and Centre assessments and identify needs.
- Arrange outings and holiday programs with logistics for Transport and feeding requirements in place.
- Keep inventory of all resources and manage accordingly.
- Collect and distribute bi-weekly reports and lesson plans of facilitators and provide feedback.
- Attend review meetings every quarter to evaluate progress.

**Minimum requirements**:

- Matric plus relevant diploma or certificate.
- Clear Criminal record
- Essential.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Essential.
- Knowledge of issues pertaining to the area of assignment.
- Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles.
- Exemplary organizational skills and ability to organize and manage multiple, detailed projects simultaneously.
- Skills in both verbal and written communication.

- Mon-Thur 09h30 to 17h30 and Friday 08h30 to 14h00
