Tactical command and Control of guard force
- The FSG Contracts manager operates tactically and is responsible for time and attendance during roll call parades, logístical requirements including uniforms, equipment, administrative requirements and investigates incidents. Reports directly into Operations Manager.

Investigations and administration
- The Contracts manager is responsible for site investigations - Complaints, Incidents, Accidents or any event which may require an investigation.

Over and above this, the Contracts manager will be responsible for
- Maintenance of staff site file - Medicals, First Aid, Firefighting, PSIRA.
- Maintenance of site file - SOP’s, instructions, training material.
- Report, escalate and investigate any form of security breaches and incidents.
- Supporting the Ops manager for ensuring compliance with timelines of both internal and external audits, ISO-27001, ISO9001, ISO23001, PCI, ISAE3402, SOC1, SOC2, Azure, HSE, ISO14001, self audit and that the required evidence is maintained and readily available.
- Ensures all hard copy site documents are filed in a secure location.
- Inspection/functionality of non-lethal weapons systems.
- Monitoring of HR related queries and liaises with branch support to reduce HR related queries.

Staff management
- Uniform order requests for Shift Staff.
- Management of uniform inventory and issue.
- Inspection of officers uniform on daily parades.
- Ensure Guarding Compliment is covered as per SLA.
- Contract Manager will conduct the parade in the morning and ensure that the site is covered by the correct Security Officers.
- General discipline and enforcement of code of conduct.
- Enforcement of timekeeping of officers.
- Will ensure that Security Officers work in accordance with the SLA & All Legislation.
- Security Staff - Evaluate Training and Re-train underperformers.
- Ensure all officers read & Sign the Instruction Book.
- Ensure compliance with all physical security standard operating procedures, emergency operating procedures, policies, processes, and directives.
- Ensure duty rosters and patrol sheets are checked and in order daily to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Planning of annual Leave.

Training
- Standard Operating Procedure Enforcement and Awareness.
- Tool box talks as agreed with Ops manager.
- Internal training sessions.
- Contracts Manager will Train Security Officers as per SLA & Legislation.
- Security Staff - Evaluate Training and Re-train underperformers.
- Liaise with external trainers to ensure site achieves training objectives.
- Ensuring that on-the-job training, toolbox talks, scenario training and testing, fire marshal training, firefighting training, first aid training, site-specific training, refresher training, etc. are conducted timeously. This includes the scrutiny of a training calendar containing 6 months in advance training schedules Training is to be assessed on a weekly basis and any further training requirements are to be highlighted and aligned.
- Provide a supporting role for security awareness campaigns to be conducted to educate and boost awareness regarding physical security issues within the workplace.
- Liaison with training department on E-learning and E-learning requirements.

Operational duties
- Afterhours visits to assess condition of staff afterhours and provide report.
- Support the Operations manager in audit preparations.
- Ensures effective key control and inventory.
- Ensures effective access control and searching.
- Ensure effective and optimal operation of the CCTV system, alarm monitoring system, access control system, and key management system by conducting daily checks and administration of the system by adding and removing of users from the system.
- Conducting site walks to ensure optimal security readiness and identify any potential threats to the overall security posture of the facility.
- Exercise command and control over all physical security activities on site, including daily parades, access, and egress control, key management, control room, and enrolment operations.
- Ensure that all teams can conduct their duties and responsibility with the appropriate resources in place. This includes uniforms, radios, all consumables, etc. to perform required duties.
- Monitor the manpower of the security service providers and ensure that the correct complement is on-site for each shift.
- Conducting site orientation, site induction, and also support all HSE-related requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring that all security processes are adhered to and that security functions efficiently and effectively.
- Conduct daily site walks and ensure security posture on the facility remains intact.
- Performing periodic spot checks for quality assurance after hours and over weekends.
