**Job purpose**: The partnerships coordinator functions as a support to the Partnerships Manager in the successful implementation of the partnership and placement strategy. The role requires the development of partnerships and collaborations within the areas/ communities where we run our projects and expanding Digify Africa’s capacity, ensuring that the most current developments in research and practice are integrated into the delivery of our project/s objectives.
The role of the partnerships coordinator is to provide support to the partnerships team ensuring that the quality of experience for public and private sector stakeholder engagement and management is maximised in a way that is respectful and engaging and allows for long-term relationships with Digify Africa to be formed. The partnerships coordinator will also be part of a team that is responsible for processing data in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring that the organisation is compliant with all relevant legislation and regulations internally and externally.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the below as this is a new project and may require the ability to adapt to evolving responsibilities:
**Main duties and responsibilities**:
**Research**:
**Desktop and on the ground**: community mapping and customer/ user experience research
Identify relevant partners for different programmes within Digify Africa
Support the administration of project sponsorships
Create survey questions as and when needed
Create a comprehensive stakeholder and partners database
Assist with recording information about key insights, and relationships pertaining to our target audience/s

**Partnership engagement and recruitment**:
Engage partners and relevant stakeholders for target audience mobilisation
Organize and participate in partnerships and stakeholder briefings, and events
Assist with sessions scheduling and logistics
Provide mailing and contact lists to other staff, as required, in line with Data Protection guidelines
Support the wider Project team to achieve organizational objectives and targets
Assist in the development and implementation of placement strategies.
Assist in developing databases to track participation in workshops, presentations and recruitment events.
Connect with employers and develop employment opportunities for graduates
Determine all required placement requirements to exchange all information properly.
Assist with preparing placements reports

**Administration and reporting**:
Create working templates
Support the production of agreements with partners (MOUs)
Data capturing and management
Extract information for the partnerships manager, as required, to enable accurate and timely reporting.
From time to time, compile reporting for the partnerships manager in their absence.
Meeting bookings and minute taking during meetings and compiling contact reporting
Help maintain strong and effective internal and external communication
Maintain and support the development of administration and processing systems within the Partnerships Team

**Abilities andsSkills (essential)**:
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy when processing data
Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Confident in communicating with a wide variety of individuals
Passionate about delivering high standards of customer care
Highly numerate and literate
Good skills in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace software, in particular, Excel and Word or Google Docs and Sheets
Excellent organisational skills
Disciplined at managing own time and workload under pressure
Able to work closely within a team but also independently when required
Fair understanding of the South African national, provincial and local government structures and area demarcation
Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinker
Willingness to develop professionally within this position
Qualifications and experience
Bachelor’s degree/diploma or three-year post-matric in a related field
3-5 years of experience
MS Office/Google Suite proficiency is a plus
Has good and stable internet connection at home
Experience and knowledge (desirable)
At least 3-5 years experience working in research and development
Lead generation and stakeholder engagement experience is critical
Experience of working in the skills development and consumer education sector is preferable.
Experience in working in a customer service environment and understanding the importance of delivering excellent customer care.
Experience in the not-for-profit, Private and Public sectors is preferable
Experience and fluency in working with data entry and databases
Knowledge of the CSR and Shared Value
- Sustainability space
Basic understanding of POPI /data protection
Basic experience in financial processing
Experience in recruitment and placement
Knowledge of companies and government departments, targeted networking, business development and telephone prospecting experience
