Logistics & General Administrator

**Location**:Oribi Gorge (40km inland from Port Shepstone)
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Research rates, routings, or modes of transport for shipment of products.
- Prepare and coordinate all shipping documentation.
- Provide shipping updates to exporters, consignees, or insurers.
- Ensure proper product quality control prior to shipping.
- Respond to customer inquiries and refer customers to the proper channels.
- Review purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare customer quotations and invoices.
- Preparing samples for customers.
- Keep abreast of regulations affecting the international movement of cargo including occupational health and safety within the transport industry.
- Assist with stock management.
- Assist with company certifications and memberships including audits.
- Document business processes and policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Assist with writing and compilation of technical documents.
- Assist with marketing and writing and compilation of marketing material.
- Take meeting minutes.
- Book and prepare travel arrangements for company directors including flights, visas, accommodation.
- Assist with preparation and coordination of company events/conferences.
**Desired Experience and Qualifications**:
- Grade 12 with Math’s.
- Competent in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication.
- Diploma in Logistics Management would be advantageous.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Understanding the basics of international shipping would be advantageous such as Incoterms.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle. No onsite accommodation available.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Port Shepstone, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
