**Key Responsibilities**

To manage aspects of Shops, Food and Services within TMSA. The scope of the role includes the following:
- SFS product ranging/ category management to optimize the item database usage, distribution, margin and income ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and health and safety requirements.
- Pricing Management across SFS
- Promotions Management: Conceptualize promotional combo’s and campaigns for relevant categories
- Shop layout, space planning and merchandising solutions
- Management of the Supply Chain (Distribution and Manufacturer relationships)
- Introduce new SFS innovation (including Digital) to ensure a point of differentiation within the Petroleum Market

Functions include:

- ** African Division Support**:

- Provide SFS support to NBE including training
- Provide KPI, Reporting (NFR) and adhoc requests
- Obtain AFA SFS approval all business models, planograms and shop layouts.
- ** SFS Business Model**:

- Develop Category Strategies, Models, SWOT, Action Plans, Implement, Monitor and Analyze where categories have been allocated:

- Shops: Turnover, Volume and Rebate income.
- Food Offerings: Cafe Bonjour, Quick Service Restaurants (Famous Brands portfolio), Dealer Own
- Services: Car Wash, Gas, Vending and all other diversifications.
- Sales and marketing Mix: Product, Promotion (incl. Digital), Price, Place, People, Processes and Physical Evidence. Ensure consistency where relevant.
- Ensure items / recipes are loaded on the ESO database in the correct and required formats and are linked to the correct category, supplier / manufacturer and have the correct retail strategy applied.
- Regular price surveys and competitor pricing reviews to update Retail Pricing strategies 2x per annum
- Ensure product placement is correct on the shop layout
- Work closely with the Space Planner and Suppliers to establish Planograms and merchandising principles aimed at optimizing category volume and sales growth. Ensure these are based on analytical evaluations on ESO, competitor reviews, and supplier and shopper insights.
- Assist Territory Managers with existing and new store merchandising
- Assist with the development and review of service station segmentation strategies
- With allocated categories, evaluate potential partners in order to ensure an association with strong brands
- Ensure that there is preferred distribution channels are in place for all SFS activities
- Define the network SFS policies and procedures by activity (Shop, Food, Services & Wash)
- Norms and Standards: Develops check lists, manuals, audit, compliance with Group norms and standards ensuring a culture of operational excellence.
- Maintain an excellent working relationship with all partners ensuring TSA’s best interest at all times
- Negotiate annual Trading Terms and Distributor Service Level Agreements and ensure these are loaded on Docuware
- Spend a minimum of 20% of time on service stations to better understand operational challenges and propose alternative solutions
- Reporting:

- Monthly sales reviews
- Monthly promotions analysis with a competitor reviews
- Share shopper insights where applicable
- Pre

- investment analysis for each new SFS concept (benchmarking SFS performance per station)
- Calculate the potential and analyze the profitability of each SFS Partnership proposed
- Meetings and Reviews:

- Organize quarterly a SFS Business Review with the SFS Manager (KPI, prices policy, performances)
- Organize quarterly a SFS Business Review with the Territory Managers (KPI, prices policy, performances)
- Organize an quarterly Business Reviews with all allocated partners/suppliers
- Regular workshops with regional and national dealer council sub-committees and forums
- Assist with the planning of an annual trade show and awards ceremony
- Supplier Workshops to determine Core Range and merchandising principles to determine Planograms
- ** HSEQ**:

- Ensure adherence and compliance to company HSEQ and security standards, local by-laws, standards and legislation so as to minimize all risk pertaining to company assets and protection of life
- Ensure effective risk management and internal control, including asset management, for area of responsibility. A quality failure procedure to be put into place for all suppliers / manufacturers.
- ** Governance**
- To ensure effective risk management and internal control, including asset management for area of responsibility and procurement compliance
- Ensures that the regulations are complied in the commercial practices
- Ensures that the HACCP process is implemented at a service station and partnership level.
