**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**IR Reporting and Advisory**
- Advises and works with Human Resources staff and other managers of unionized employees to ensure compliance with the contract.
- Assist initiators in preparing for internal enquiries and providing the Presiding Officers with information relevant to setting precedent, previous outcome decisions etc.
- Develop, implement, and provide an all-encompassing industrial relations training.
- Consolidate Industrial relations information and compile monthly reports.
- Analysis of absenteeism, provide management with a daily / weekly report on absenteeism and action taken and ensure consistency.
- Report on the analysis of all action taken and ensure consistency.
- Prepares statistical reports, using records of actions taken concerning grievances, arbitration and mediation cases, and related labor relations activities, to identifyproblem areas.

**Employee Relations**
- Managing relationships with unions & ensuring that the Company's treatment of employees is consistent with its core business values and objectives.
- Handling complaints, managing grievance procedures, and facilitating counseling in conjunction with other stakeholders.
- Investigating and resolving complex or critical industrial relations issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Collating and analyzing employee feedback across all levels on a regular basis and revising people programs and policies to generate more positive outcomes.
- Participating in and/or leading projects focused on continuous improvement in area of work.
- Manages grievance procedures to handle complaints that result from disputes with unionized employees over the collective bargaining agreement, work rules, and interpretation of the meaning of the contract.
- To represent the Company at CCMA/ Bargaining Council level on disputes i.e., Conciliations and arbitrations.
- Conduct special investigations as needed. Manage all consultations with attorneys and record relating costs and expenditure.
- Monitors implementation of policies concerning wages, hours, and working conditions, to ensure compliance with terms of labor contract

**Compliance with Labour Laws and Regulations**
- Ensure consistency in approach and resolution of sensitive employee investigations across geographies and deployed to entities as appropriate.
- Provide leadership to key employee relations & IR initiatives and collaborate with geographic leadership and Employee Relations teams to ensure consistent implementation within local legal constraints.
- Help create awareness of relevant policies, procedures and programs through formal training and communications.
- Oversight for management and coordination of the Policies and Procedures and Compliance and Internal Controls processes.
- Foster strong relationship with the unions.
- Ensure appropriate communication and consultation with unions to mitigate the risk of industrial disputes and ensure the organizational priorities are met.
- Proactively identify and report on emerging industrial and labor relations issues and define strategies to prevent, minimize, or resolve disputes, challenges, and issues to ensure organizational priorities are met.
- Foster a progressive labor/industrial relation culture at Nando’s Feitoria.
- Plan and deliver sustainable outcomes through Bargaining processes.
