**Admin Assistant (Retail) - Job Specification**

Our client is looking for a detail oriented Administrative Assistant who will ensure an organized experience for clients who visit the Boutique Floral Retail store.

**Reports to**: Store Manager / Business Owner

**Location**:City of Cape Town

**Schedule**: Retail Mall Hours (shifts)

**Salary**: Market-related and commensurate with experience

**Requirements**:

- 2-4 years in a similar position.
- Proven experience in an administrative retail environment.
- Familiarity with retail operations
- Knowledge of Floral industry trends - advantageous.
- Experience in the Floral industry trends - advantageous.
- Flexible schedule for shifts over weekends and holidays.

**Responsibilities**:
General
- Assist with Opening and Closing of store.
- Ensure all systems are functioning before the store opens (printing machine, credit card machines, POS, system, internet, etc).
- Recommend & implement processes to enhance the improvement of service delivery at all times.

Customer Service
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly.
- Record details of inquiries, comments, and complaints.
- Follow up on any customer query to ensure resolution.
- Go the extra mile at all times to engage customers.

Administrative Support
- Assist with administrative tasks to keep the store running smoothly.
- Manage and process customer orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Handle payments (Cash & Credit Card).
- Assist with stock taking and stock management.

Team Support
- Collaborate with the team to maintain an organized and aesthetically pleasing store.
- Support in training store staff on administrative procedures.
- Coordinate staff scheduled to ensure adequate coverage.

Visual Merchandising
- Assist with the visual presentation of floral arrangements and displays.
- Ensure that the store is consistently organized, clean, and aesthetically pleasing.
- Collaborate with the team to implement seasonal and thematic displays.

Sales and Promotions
- Collaborate with the marketing team to execute sales and promotional campaigns.
- Track and report on sales metrics and customer trends.
