Position details:
Type: Permanent
Reports to: Engineering Manager - Process Technologies
Primary Purpose: Assist, Develop, improve, maintain, Integrate and manage
Remote monitoring systems, data processing, programming, ERP Systems, Hybrid data, Storages Systems, Dashboards, Reporting, Analytics and data.
As per different client needs.
Travel requirements: Office based
Job description / core competencies:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete functional specification & documentation for remote monitoring system
- Assist with development of scope of work and provided minimum data requirements to implement remote monitoring systems at new clients
- Develop hybrid data processing & storage system (have capacity for local processing of raw data on site and transmission of compressed files to cloud for additional processing).
- Complete launch of monitoring system with modular approach for services (would expect the person to be involved in the launch of the product to get direct feedback from users)
- Integrate data between the on-site monitoring systems and the ERP system to provide insights on logistics and service improvements for the company
- Development of maintenance scheduling module using data from ERP system and calibrating the developed system with the client to ensure better accuracy
- Customization and adaptation of developed modules to client-specific data where necessary
- Use analytical, statistical and programming skills to collect, analyse and interpret large datasets for a wide range of different clients and different equipment depending on each client’s needs
- Ability to create comprehensive and meaningful dashboards
- Maintain and improve existing dashboards and developed data insights
- Skill to translate the visualisations into meaningful actions processes and efficiencies
- Ability to articulate technical and/or other required information to relevant clients
- Deliver data outcomes from analysis, to technical and business intelligence insights, to Predictive to Advanced ML and AI outcomes
- Collaborate with clients to ensure comprehensive and accurate understanding of their requirements and devise effective resolutions through innovative data solutions or data/statistical methodologies
- Report findings and recommendations to client where the outcome remains relevant to the client
- Influence and direct conversations with client through quantitative mechanisms
- Manage, build and/or improve on the reporting, analytics and data exploration capabilities
- Collaborate with employees from different departments to improve data analysis and insights
Qualifications and min requirements:
QUALIFICATION: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years’ and more experience within a data science environment, preferably with mining and mineral processing experience
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Ability to analyse large data sets
Ability to write comprehensive reports
Excellent technical aptitude
Strong verbal and written communication skill
Creative approach for new ideas
High level of computer literacy
The ability to prioritize and plan effectively
Experience with Microsoft Power BI
Experience with relational and time scale databases
Experience in programming (C#, C++, Python, Java or R)
Experience in database query languages (SQL, PostgreSQL)
Experience in using cloud services, preferably certified in Azure or AWS
Knowledge of deployment of Machine Learning algorithms is beneficial
Knowledge in plant signals and systems modelling and interpretation
Basic understanding of web technology stack (front-end and back-end) is beneficial but not required
Own transport/Valid driver’s license
