Chief Financial Officer - Midrand, Gauteng - Job ID 3833

Chief Financial Offer needed Must have a BCom Honours / CA (SA) Qualification. Must be Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant with at least at least min 5 to 8 years’ experience as a Finance Manager and at least 3 years in an international organization. Must have prior experience present financial reports to board and EXCO.

Responsible to manage the Finance department in line with legislated, contractual, and acceptable financial standards and provide clear leadership and direction.

Key external relationships: Customers Government bodies such as Province, transportation network Suppliers and Contractors

Job description / core competencies:
Establish the accounting and control functions to ensure that ‘best practice processes are implemented and sustained.

Is accountable for the Contract Management and preparation for follow-up negotiations.

Drive the Procurement strategy and methods. Ensure that the procurement practices are compliant with group policies and support the company organisation with the purchasing process. Manages a small team of procurement professionals in the execution of a portfolio of procurement projects, to manage solicitations and contracts.

Oversee, monitor the operation, improvements, and upgrades of company IT systems.

Create a positive relationship with the auditing team that is based on trust, openness, and integrity.

Ensure weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting procedures are in place and operating effectively.

Own the budget process and associated guidelines - coordinate the development of the annual budget with all departments, approving finance plans and budgets with the board and providing feedback to the departments on the approved budget.

Negotiate finance plans and budgets, as well as variation orders with the Client.

Ensure daily operations meet the performance level of the O&M contract agreement.

Provide the CEO and other members of the executive management team with financial forecasts and pro-active analysis to enhance performance and improve commercial outcomes.

Manage relationships with relevant stakeholders (the shareholders, the client, auditors, banks, external partners, regulatory authorities, etc.)

Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.

Implement the Compliance process in line with French shareholder requirements and law (Sapin II).

Identify, implement, and oversee the appropriate level of internal control.

**Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience**:
CA or B Com Accounting honours or any relevant qualification
Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant preference

Advanced excel.

ERP system experience (e.g., Sage X3)

At least min 5 to 8 years’ experience as a Finance Manager with at least 3 years in an international organization

Ability to present financial reports to board and EXCO.

Possess analytical and critical ability.

Alert, able to respond calmly and quickly under pressure.

Ability to communicate with staff of all levels.

Team player

Possess leadership quality.

Ability to delegate, supervise and control.
