Duties and responsibilities
Campaign development and management
Develop and implement programmatic communications and campaign plans for strategy.
Develop strategic implementation and operational plans for rolling out and sustaining campaigns.
Participate in the planning and implementation of campaign projects and tactics to achieve the goals and targets, in consultation with the CEO and head of programmes and ensure alignment of programmatic activities.
Develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks for campaigns in collaboration with programmes personnel.
Digital and press communication
Lead the proactive and reactive promotion of Wethepeople’s work across all media platforms.
Act as a first point of contact for media enquiries, ensuring Wethepeople is able to maximise both proactive and reactive influencing opportunities.
Develop and share with the team a social media strategic implementation plan.

**Website maintenance**:
Manage and monitor the organisation’s online presence including websites.
Create strategies to improve website traffic.
Align the website with the organisation's brand, strategy and standards

**Strategic representation and coordination**:
Promote Wethepeople’s visibility, brand awareness and relevance.
Research networking opportunities and work with CEO to promote Wethepeople.
Identify donor cultivation opportunities through campaigns and communication opportunities.
Knowledge management and outreach

**Update guidelines on communications activities such as**: dealing with the media and/or social media, communicating results, writing a press release, event media management.
**Requirements**:
Understand dynamic social and political issues
Problem solving skills, and the ability to create clear, simple solutions
Excellent writing, copywriting and editing skills
Experience in developing, drafting, and editing a range of communication products
Understanding of/proven expertise in social media marketing and social media platforms and strategy
Tech-savvy for creating visuals and other products for campaigns
Data analysis skills and interpreting statistics
Demonstrated interpersonal and teamwork skills in a fast-paced work environment
Excellent networking and donor cultivation skills
Excellent listening skills with the ability to interpret key messages and information
Ability to prioritise tasks and independently manage competing demands
Strong analytical skills and excellent research skills
Knowledge of advocacy campaigning
Very good writing skills with the ability to write clearly and concisely
Strong presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal and listening skills
Strong people skills with the ability to work under pressure
Capability to use technology tools to drive campaigns
