**Job Summary**: Multifacted role for financially minded property professional.
As an established property investor, developer and landlord our client employs a team of leasing, finance, asset management, development, property management and legal people. Whilst most of these divisions has a Head of Department, the finance team reports directly to the CEO via several Senior Financial Managers. Whilst this has worked very effectively for many years, the CEO is in need of additional financial support for things outside of the day to day running of the finances. To this end they are looking to appoint a property professional from a financial background who will lend a hand in special and ongoing projects. This would include but would in no way be limited to:
- Acting as a conduit between the Asset Management & Finance teams
- Investigating investment opportunities
- Cash flow modelling
- Improving and maintaining financial, IT, compliance and other reporting systems
- Data analysis of valuations and other models
- Legal risk assessment and mitigation
- Compliance & Regulatory oversight, including Tax, Company legislation, Joint Ventures, POPI Act, FICA and Funding mandates
- Resolving HR matters below Director & Senior Manager level
- Preparation of board packs
- Taking charge of the insurance portfolio
- Leading the BBBEE scorecard optimisation
In this newly created position the objective is to ease the load of the executive team in ways in which they haven't even thought of yet. It would suit someone with a minimum of 10 years post qualified experience - preferably a chartered accountant or with experience at a Manco level in a similar role - who is able to travel at short notice, is bilingual and who resides in Pretoria. Experience in property development and management is essential and an MBA would be highly advantageous.
