An exciting opportunity has become available for a Procurement Manager Strategist at our organization. The successful incumbent will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the procurement process within the organization. This includes sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing decisions. The Procurement Manager will play a critical role in optimizing procurement operations to enhance efficiency and profitability.

Duties are but not limited to:
**Strategic Sourcing**:

- Identify potential suppliers and conduct market research to assess their capabilities.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.

**Vendor Management**:

- Manage relationships with existing suppliers and evaluate their performance regularly.
- Resolve supplier issues, disputes, and conflicts in a timely manner.
- Continuously assess vendor performance and seek opportunities for improvement.

**Cost Management**:

- Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality and reliability.
- Monitor and control procurement budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness.

**Quality Assurance**:

- Collaborate with other departments to define quality standards and specifications.
- Ensure that purchased products and services meet quality requirements.
- Implement quality control procedures throughout the procurement process.

**Inventory Management**:

- Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production or operational needs.
- Implement inventory control measures to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
- Monitor inventory turnover and implement strategies for improvement.

**Compliance and Risk Management**:

- Ensure procurement activities adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Mitigate procurement-related risks and implement compliance programs.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes.

**Team Leadership**:

- Lead and develop a team of procurement professionals.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, with 5 - 10 years of experience in a managerial role.
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and vendor relationship skills.
- Proficiency in procurement tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Knowledge of industry trends, market dynamics, and procurement best practices.

**Salary**: From R17,500.00 per month
