**Purpose of the position**:
The Purpose of the position is to promote Innovate Durban, its products, and services to attract and retain partners and beneficiaries in line with organisational objectives
Outcomes of the position - what does the marketing and events coordinator need to accomplish?
The marketing and events specialist will need to achieve the following:
Successful development and implementation of an organisational marketing, communication and event plan
Fully executed marketing and event projects, leveraging support, and driving collaboration
Attract new partners and sponsors and retain existing relevant partnerships for the organisation
Extraction of key marketing insights using analytics across platforms for future campaign development
Meet organisational and partner/sponsors requirements in line with objectives

Bachelors degree in marketing, business or related field

Must speak English fluently.
Proven experience developing marketing plans and campaigns
Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in project coordination
Must have a minimum of 2-3 years years’ experience in marketing, media and event coordination
Must have a minimum of two years’ experience in content development for social media and other forms of media
Excellent multi-tasking skills
Metrics-driven marketing mind with an eye for creativity
Creative writing skills
Strong Interpersonal skills

Driver's licence and own car
Business acumen and sales minded
Experience using online project management tools
MS Office proficiency
