Duties/Pligte
- Die onderrig van Inleidende Wiskunde wat in die Verlengde Graadprogramme aangebied word in die Fakulteite Natuurwetenskappe, AgriWetenskappe en Ingenieurswese;
- Lid van die span wat verantwoordelik is vir die akademiese aanbod in die Verlengde Graadprogramme, gekoördineer deur die Fakulteit Natuurwetenskappe;
- Die ontwikkeling, koördinering en toesighouding van leer-, onderrig-, en assesseringsaktiwiteite (insluitend tutoriale);
- Deurlopende ontwikkeling van die kurrikulum vir gepaste inskakeling met hoofstroomaktiwiteite in natuurwetenskappe, ingenieurswese en agriwetenskappe;
- Betrokkenheid by die eerstejaar Wiskunde-modules.
- Teaching of Introductory Mathematics offered as part of the Extended Degree programmes in the Faculties of Science, AgriSiences and Engineering;
- Part of the team responsible for the academic offering in the Extended Degree Programmes, coordinated by the Faculty of Science;
- Developing, coordinating, and supervising learning, teaching, and assessment activities (including tutorials);
- Continuous development of the curriculum for appropriate integration with programmes in science, engineering, and agriscience;
- Involved with the first-year Mathematics modules.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
- 'n PhD-graad in Wiskunde of Wiskunde-onderrig;
- 'n Bewese rekord van onderwyservaring in voorgraadse Wiskunde;
- Die ervaring en vaardighede om studente te onderrig wat addisionele hulp benodig;
- Ervaring in die gebruik van opvoedkundige tegnologie;
- Goeie kommunikasievaardighede;
- Die vermoë om lesings vlot in beide Afrikaans en Engels aan te bied.

Addisioneel vir aanstelling as **Senior Lektor**:

- 'n Bewese rekord van die onderrig en assessering van voorgraadse Wiskunde;
- Ervaring as module sameroeper of -koödineerder;
- 'n Bewese rekord van kurrikulumontwikkeling;
- 'n Groeiende navorsingsprofiel in Wiskunde en/of Wiskundeonderrig;
- Betrokkenheid by inisiatiewe om Wiskunde as vak te bevorder.
- PhD degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education;
- A proven record of teaching experience in undergraduate Mathematics;
- Experience and skills in teaching students requiring additional support;
- Experience using educational technology;
- Good communication skills;
- The ability to present lectures in both Afrikaans and English fluently.

Additional for appointment as **Senior Lecturer**:

- A proven record of lecturing and assessment for undergraduate Mathematics;
- Experience as a module convenor or coordinator;
- A proven record of curriculum development;
- A growing research profile in Mathematics and/or Mathematics Education;Recommendation/Aanbeveling
