**KEY OBJECTIVES**:

- Responsible for handling weekly wage administration through the company’s time and attendance and Payroll system to process normal and overtime hours in ensuring all calculations and deduction of tax, medical aid, retirement fund contributions, holiday, and leave pay funds to conform to all the various Bargaining Council Regulations relating to Western Cape, Kwa-Zulu Natal, and Gauteng
- Assists in the preparation of statutory returns of UIF, PAYE, and Workmen's Compensations returns as well as monthly reconciliations and Council returns nationally
- The role is also responsible for the upkeep and management of a division's weekly wage payroll systems

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- Grade 12/Matric is essential
- Related Tertiary Education on a Higher Certificate/NQF level 5
- Working Sage VIP experience is essential, min 2 years
- Min 5 years relevant working experience in a similar role/environment
- Bargaining Council and Collective agreement Payroll administration and experience essential
- MS Office proficient, particularly in MS Outlook, Word, and intermediate/advance Excel

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:

- Process 5 weekly payrolls using VIP and upload them on the bank system for payment with relevant reports
- Ensure compliance with all collective agreement regulations in all payroll wage MOCs and ensure monthly circulars from the Council are implemented and adhered to
- Provide administrative assistance to the finance department for Month end reports, Reconciliations, UIF, Workman’s compensation, etc.
- Manage the division's electronic timekeeping systems ensuring all biometric devices work optimally and that each branch nationally has the necessary support on all timekeeping systems to process hours for weekly payroll input
- Prepare and issue all weekly payslips and ensure coordination with all branches that payslips are issued to waged staff
- Maintain all wage employee-related records with the assistance of the HR Administrator
- Provide information guide employee’s on questions about payroll-related matters
- Coordinate with and Assist the HR Officer and administrator with Employment equity reports, BBBEE information, and requirements as necessary for each branch
- All related payroll functions and duties to ensure the successful completion and execution of the purpose of the role
