A well-established organization in Sandton is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join their team. The salary will be discussed in the interview.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Have minimum of 3 years working experience in similar
- Must have a Matric certificate
- A diploma or certificate in either business administration or similar would be an advantage
- Experience with using CGM systems, namely PMO Plus and MedEDI is a plus.
- ICD 10 Coding experience
- Previous experience as an administrative assistant, receptionist, or front office representative (experience in a medical setting is an advantage)
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical software suites
- Be Multilingual
- Must have a vehicle & a valid drivers’ license
**Key Performance Areas**:
- Must be prepared to operate as the key person in the office welcoming patients and visitors at reception and attend immediately to their needs.
- Keeping a clean, sterilized and calm reception area and direct cleaners accordingly.
- Operate the telephone system, schedule appointments, screen calls, direct calls, make calls and take messages manage client inquiries in a friendly manner.
- Preparation of patient files, assisting patients with completing necessary forms and documentation, compile and provide clients with quotations.
- Effective mailbox and diary management, scheduling appointments and keep those appointments on time.
- Processing billing, payment verification and collection, using medical software, liaising with Medical health funds.
- Attend to administration work (dictations, typing reports, operate, maintain, and develop the filing system, scanning etc.) and computer work such as communication with patients, mailing documentation to patients.
- Assigning holters, uploading and downloading data, maintaining data integrity.
- Comforting distressed patients - this may range from simply fixing any appointment issues that may arise, through to being the voice of comfort during times of extreme stress and emergency.
- Maintain client and information confidentiality.
- Liaising with other medical departments such as hospital management, radiology, medical specialists, laboratories etc. with professionalism and discretion.
- Follow up of patient test results with laboratory and radiology colleagues.
- Working with hospital staff to resolve maintenance issues that arise in the practice.
- Manage relations with all the practice suppliers, medical representatives, other doctors and hospital staff for the doctor’s benefit
- Monitoring and ordering stationery and clinical supplies, arrange, and attend to deliveries at reception.
- Arranging staff meetings, booking and organising meetings, conferences, travel, accommodation and miscellaneous tasks for the doctor’s benefit.
- Such other tasks necessary for the conduct of the employer’s business, as the employer may from time-to time direct.
