**Introduction**

Our Client, based in the automotive component industry, is looking for a Technical Representative to join their team in Cape Town.

Successful incumbent will be Responsible for ensuring that automotive component fitments are timeously fitted in accordance to standard, representing the company with customers and providing the necessary support.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

**Supervisory**

Prepare and ensure all stock is ready for the next day’s Fitment Schedule

Ensure all equipment and tools are packed and in working order

Report all shortages on components that do not conform to the quality standards to QC and or any fitment related problems to R&D and QC.

Follow Fitting Instructions

Adhere to the pre
- and post-fitment preparations procedures

Ensure there are enough common spares in case of shortages

Ensure all the following Fitment paperwork is done:
Fitment Check Sheet

Customer Fitment Confirmation Sign-off per chassis number

Send signed Fitment Confirmation and Check Sheet to Sales Admin and copy the customer

**Technical**

Responsible for fitments and supporting customer base both directly and indirectly by assisting them with technical issues / training pertaining to our products, the rectification of perceived poor quality or damaged products, answering questions from customers and prospective customers about the features and capabilities of our products and communicating customer needs and wishes to our development and engineering staff.

Fitting of products / accessories onto vehicles

Ensure that all damaged components are returned to branches.

Assist dealers with missing fitment kits, incomplete kits and damaged components.

Assist and provide advice to others in the group with fitment issues or any other problem that can lead to continuous improvements.

Assist R&D with fitment confirmations or technical feedback with all our customers at OEM, Dealer and Fitment Centre levels.

Training of fitment staff at customers

Providing technical support to dealers and customers as required and solving of technical issues.

Repairing of scratched or dented components.

Technical product training on products

Communicating of all quality complaints and other issues on products to head office for action.

Recording of and following up on replacement component using reference numbers.

Provide prompt and efficient service to all customers in conjunction with the sales representatives.

Any perceived poor quality or damaged products to be rectified and resolved

Oversee and co-ordinate stock movements, customer deliveries and interface with the local courier service provider.

Oversee the receipt and return of defective parts on all Dealer, Limited Editions and Fitment Centres in your area.

Deliver emergency stock or replacement parts to customer if and when needed.

Complete and submit weekly technical call report

**Desired Experience & Qualification**

Matric

Diploma or degree in mechnaical engineering will be advantageous.

Must come from the automotive industry.

At least two years experience in vehicle fitment processes

Strong technical expericne and knowleadge.

Supervisory experience will be advantageous.

Valid drivers license.
