**What will you do**

The MRP Planner and Stores Controller is responsible for ensuring stores inventory and stock levels are kept at an appropriate level by placing PO’s with suppliers as required and ensuring timeous delivery of the PO’s.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensures that all material delivery schedules are communicated to the suppliers on time in order to meet plan requirements. Liaises with the suppliers to clarify potential plan constraints and interfaces between supplier and the key internal stakeholders until issues are solved.
- Tracks and reports site level supplier service performance, communicating the information to SSE. Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions due to material challenges.
- Interfaces with QA and warehouse staff regarding rejected/defective materials, making the necessary physical arrangements with the supplier to ensure a prompt return of goods or disposal and that any credit along with any consequential loss is claimed and received.
- Manages potential abrupt deviations to the plan assessing with the suppliers the feasibility of the changes, rapidly highlighting to the affected internal stakeholders if the changes are not possible
- Liaises with warehouse staff to understand and adhere to space constraints, managing inventory levels within agreed targets
- Participates in meetings held with the suppliers to discuss continuous improvements of processes and systems related to the supply of materials, minimum order quantities, economic batch quantities and any other variable affecting the call -off quantities involved in the material schedule, providing valuable contribution to the discussions in order to capture opportunities
- Ensures that all materials required are backed up with open orders, notifying the appropriate party when deviations are identified. Responsible for local execution of the PO’s
- Manages the planning and preparation of material plans.
- Develops and implements site level material ordering policies, standards, guidelines and procedures in alignment with regional agreements.
- Submits material planning report to plant and regional management and develops solutions to address the potential material problems. Analyzes results and initiates appropriate action to meet business goals.
- Update Vendor quotes as required, monitors PO Execution and deals with mismatches/RFI’s.
- Procures against approved Raw/ Packaging Materials Register and approved specifications.
- Places orders weekly and ensures order acknowledgment from suppliers.
- Performs planning and related data analysis needed for cross-functional projects.
- Responsible for all internal material inventory management, meeting targets set for SLOB as well as executing SKU exit plans to keep write-off to a minimum.
- Effectively partner with all internal and external business partners
- Ensure monthly forecasts are submitted to suppliers as required.
- Responsible for the purchasing of all Non-stock inventories (with GMP impact).
- Responsible for BPCS Change Control for vendor data changes
- Initiates deviation reports, GCC’s as required and drives closure as per stipulated timelines.
- Excecute plans to mitigate SLOB (including expirations) and demurrage costs.
- Compile weekly delivery schedules; manage Return to Vendor and Destruction locations.
- Compile weekly exception reports and collaborates with Planning Dept to resolve repeat expeditions. Update due dates accordingly.
- Ensure payment of vendors in accordance with agreed payment terms.
- Ensures all practices and procedures are SOX compliant.
- Responsible for continuous improvement of the process supported
- Maintains compliance with company policies with regards to all safety

Qualifications

**What we are looking for**

Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 plus appropriate tertiary qualifications -preferably with courses including Production Planning, Purchasing or Supply Chain management
- 2 to 5 years relevant proven experience in MPS - Pharmaceutical /FMCG Manufacturing Environment.
