Senior Manager: Costing

**ROLE PURPOSE**
To manage, support and enable Nexio’s Pricing and Costing Departments though delivery of a first in class capability in the disciplines of the two critical functions.
The Pricing focus will be on coordination, execution and analysis of all pricing related matters including special projects, productization, proposals and tenders with:
- Creating clear commercial models and objectives.
- Development and implementation of the Commercial strategy.
- Develop an effective interface with the Employer’s strategic objectives.
- Quote output in line with the agreed SLA’s
The Costing focus will be to take full ownership of Nexio’s product input cost from a commercial perspective as a support function to the Technical teams, with key focus on viability and profitability, while creating transparency in the costing models by developing and utilisation of systems to support the technical, pricing, and other related downstream functions:
- Creating competitive product cost models to support the company’s growth strategy.
- Developing and utilising systems and automation to provide bill of material models for the input cost to standard and complex solutions by the company.
- Collaborating with the various business units and product owners to create highly competitive products and minimize risk to company.
Key Account abilities
- All aspects of Pricing Governance.
- People Management - Management of the quoting administrators.
- Develop and implement pricing strategies for the company's products and services.
- Efficiently and timely process quotes that are well presented and complete.
- Understanding the end user requirements and pricing accordingly.
- Liaising with internal technical personnel as well as suppliers and distributors to put a best deal forward.
- Accurate analyses of pricing documents to ensure competitive and value-based proposals.
- Implement an SLA driven price and quote delivery system.
- Multi country pricing.
- Increased quote turn-around times though the use of systems.
- Increased capacity through automation.
- Enhanced reporting on activity, pricing trends and products for Exco and Senior Management.
- Sound understanding of forex and conversions.
- Review market trends for pricing opportunities to optimize revenues
- Provide support on input cost for products and solutions from a commercial perspective.
- Ensure commercial management by providing risk assessment, reviewing proposal and propositions, defining contract terms and leading costing processes.
- Become an integral pillar of Nexio’s product development life cycle.
- Compile commercial content by analysing and compiling information and data, facilitating commercial content development, ensuring commercial viability of opportunity, and creating relevant data and process models.
- Develop and implement costing strategies for the company's products and services.
- Understanding the end user requirements and cost accordingly.
- Liaising with internal technical personnel as well as suppliers and distributors to put the best base cost forward.
- Understanding of the market dynamics to ensure competitive and value-based base costs.
- Multi country costing to align with the companies Africa expansion strategy.
- Focus on system driven, automated processes to increase capacity in other cost dependant areas of the business such as pricing, product management, sales, and finance.
- Plan, develop and deliver a trusted Bill of Material system with the end goal of having an automated CPQ type system in place.
- Enhanced reporting on trends, discount, rebates, and products profitability for Exco and Senior Management.
- Sound understanding of forex and conversions.
- Support business with new product and ventures business cases.
Leadership
- Gives regular, comprehensive, and constructive feedback to team and conducts their performance appraisals.
- Proactively seeks feedback from team members and deals constructively with any criticism.
**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
- Matric Certificate.
- Bachelor's degree in Commercial & Business administration.
- Minimum 8 years work experience in the IT services industry.
- Minimum 4 years people management experience.
