We are looking for a Unit Manager for ICU to work at a Private Hospital in Johannesburg.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Manage all costs emanating from the department.
- Facilitate timeous and accurate compilation of files.
- Evaluate nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care.
- Ensure the principles of infection prevention and all standard precautions are adhered to.
- Create an environment where staff are aware of the role, they play in the provision of quality nursing care and their value in the organization.
- Assign decision making authority, tasks and responsibility to appropriate persons in order to maximize organization and employee effectiveness.
- Monitor staff attendance.
- Facilitate effective change and conflict management.
- Promote staff wellbeing.
- Work effectively

Education and experience:

- Registration with SANC
- An ICU Post Basic Qualification
- Experience in ICU Essential
- 2 years or more years in private hospital
- Previous Unit Manager experience

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
