The technical project manager plans, manages, and controls the delivery of contracted services work for Entersekt's customers. They do this by managing expectations, resolving roadblocks, and understanding what it takes, technically, to get the job done. This is a project manager that works closely with our technical solutions architects and has a good working understanding of the Entersekt product, the integration patterns for deploying the product, and the development methodologies used to deliver a solution.

You will be expected to support other project managers too, providing insights, direction, and guidance that will enable the PMO team to develop and grow as we pursue our goal of delivery excellence.

**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE**

You are an seasoned project professional with experience in the successful delivery of both internal projects and customer-facing software delivery projects. We are looking for someone with a solid understanding of how software products are delivered, integrated, and configured at customer sites.

**THE ROLE**

The role of the technical project manager is to plan and manage projects involving Entersekt products while providing structure, direction, and reporting oversight to stakeholders. Products include those undergoing their first implementation (carrying certain associated overheads and risks), as well as mature, market-leading products which are provided either as an on-prem or cloud-hosted SaaS solution.

The project manager plays a key role within the delivery team, which is primarily customer focused. Key to the team's success is ensuring that lessons learned and proven approaches are factored into the delivery method and shared across various teams.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Engage with customers and internal stakeholders on all levels to record project scope, dependencies, and risks to ensure projects delivery can be measured against what is commercially agreed upon.
- Compile, adapt, and communicate detailed project plans.
- Manage and control project delivery as defined in traditional and Agile project management methodologies.
- Facilitate onboarding projects, where customers are onboarded to cloud-hosted and SaaS-type services.
- Manage customer project delivery expectations.
- Engage with key project stakeholders, both internally and externally, to manage risks and issues and ensure clear communication is maintained.
- Participate in customer project progress and steerco meetings to provide risk mitigation support and best practice guidance.
- Compile and maintain RAID (risks, actions, issues, and decisions) logs.
- Manage project scope change using defined change management processes.
- Coordinate internal project status, solution and operational discussions as needed to ensure continued progress.
- Review and contribute solution and operational documents and artefacts to ensure they are aligned with agreed-upon scope.
- Manage and report on project budgets and work with finance and account managers to ensure accurate billing.
- Review and consult on commercial contracts in terms of project scope.

**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**
- A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or computer science (preferred).
- Project management qualification such as PMI.
- 8 years+ experience in software project delivery.
- 6 years+ delivery experience delivering to external customers.
- Practical experience with project management techniques, methodologies, and best practices.
- Working knowledge of project tools such as SmartSheets, MS Project, Confluence, and Jira.
- Exposure to Agile software development approaches.
- Experience in online/e-commerce, payment processing, and/or financial systems.
- Understanding of cloud-based solutions delivery (AWS preferred).
- Prior technical exposure, such as development, networks or infrastructure, would be an advantage.
