Ensure the robustness and continuous availability of all IM (Commercial, OT, and Business) network infrastructure components crucial for facilitating technical mining processes within the region.

This involves comprehensive support, maintenance, licensing, and governance measures. Dedicate efforts to the provision of production, data control, operational, and support services specifically tailored to the Network technologies within their designated region.

**RF Network Planning**: They plan and design RF networks to ensure optimal coverage, capacity, and performance based on the region's geographical and demographic characteristics.

**Frequency Spectrum Management**: They manage the allocation and utilization of frequency spectrum within their region to minimize interference and maximize efficiency.

**RF Performance Optimization**: They continuously monitor and analyze RF performance metrics, such as signal strength, quality, and interference levels, and implement strategies to optimize network performance.

**Troubleshooting and Maintenance**: They troubleshoot RF-related issues and perform regular maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of communication systems.

**Regulatory Compliance**: They ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards governing RF communication, including licensing requirements and emission limits.

**Collaboration**: They collaborate with other teams, such as network operations, engineering, and regulatory affairs, to coordinate activities and resolve complex RF-related challenges.

Configuring wireless technology spans a spectrum of setups, encompassing wireless MESH networks, access points, and point-to-point links, all tuned to available frequencies.

**Travelling involved**:
This position will require local travelling to Sishen / Amandelbult or Rustenburg (average of 750km per month). Petrol will get reimbursed. Must have a valid driver’s license and own car.

**Qualifications required**:
Matric plus a B achelor's degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications engineering, or a related field is required.

**Technical skills & experience required**:
Must have 5 years’ minimum work experience as an RF Specialist.

Proficiency in RF theory and principles, including modulation techniques, antennas, propagation, and transmission line theory.

Knowledge of RF measurement equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.

Familiarity with RF simulation and design software such as ADS (Advanced Design System), HFSS (High-Frequency Structure Simulator), or similar tools.

Rajant Certification is optional.

Understanding of wireless communication standards like GSM, CDMA, LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and their associated protocols.

**Industry knowledge requirements**:
Mining and Mineral Processing (ideally).

Or Oil and Gas / Utilities (Power Generation) / Metals (Operations/ Production).

Or Pulp and Paper Operations / Any heavy or process industry with a substantial physical asset base.

Experience gained in large, complex, global companies is highly desirable.

**Safety Knowledge**:
Provides a consistent, outstanding role model with safety practices with a deep understanding of the importance of safety.

Deliver a portfolio of IM services to a defined client base.

Hold vendors accountable for SLA indicators.

Liaise with solutions design and architecture to ensure that roadmaps are followed and services are introduced with excellence.

Analyse and identify root causes of risk and quantify potential business impact.

Engage with key stakeholders and understand their process requirements.

Implement best-fit solutions to meet stakeholder requirements and contribute to IM process enhancements.

Perform continuous monitoring reviews and measure defined quality and quantity indicators.

Interpret policy and explain why work needs to be completed in a particular manner.

Explain how a particular process task needs to be fulfilled.

Assign and re-assign work to ensure that outputs and the elimination of waste.

Participate in business initiatives/projects and the different processes involved.

Continuously improve team performance.
