We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to manage the company’s supply of products and services. You need to be ambitious, dynamic, driven and willing to join a dynamic team.

Procurement Manager responsibilities include strategizing to find cost-effective deals and suppliers. You will be procuring food, beverage and curios. The Procurement Manager’s duty is to discover the best ways to cut procurement expenses, so that the company can invest in growth and people.

**Responsibilities**:

- Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
- Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
- Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
- Examine and test existing contracts
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
- Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
- Monitoring and updating cost estimates for projects to ensure that costs are within expected ranges
- Reviewing expense reports to ensure that expenses are reasonable and appropriate for the circumstances
- Coordinating with other departments such as human resources, payroll, accounting, and finance to ensure that all costs are accurately tracked
- Conducting cost analyses to identify areas where costs can be reduced or eliminated altogether
- Monitoring budgets to ensure that spending does not exceed approved levels
- Collecting cost data from suppliers or subcontractors to track material costs
- Preparing reports to management regarding costs and expenses
- Managing supplier relationships to ensure that the company is receiving quality products at competitive prices
- Implement and maintain procurement strategy and policies.
- Forecast procurement needs to maintain availability of all food and beverage and curios required in all units
- Review purchase requests and authorise orders to facilitate the timely purchase of materials.
- Place all orders
- Liaise with Finance Department to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices.
- Ordering and merchandising of curio stock.
- Sourcing of new curio items.
- Build and develop relationships with suppliers.
- Ensure specification of products are maintained.
- Controlling and monitoring food costs for each business unit
- Compiling weekly food cost reports
- sent through to relevant stake holders

**Requirements and skills**:

- Proven working experience as a Procurement Manager
- Intermediary excel skills
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market
- Talent in negotiations and networking
- Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software
- Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data
- Strong leadership capabilities
- Sound knowledge of procurement policies and processes
- Food and Beverage knowledge
- Need to have worked in the GAAP POS, this will be advantageous
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of purchasing functions, with a view to optimizing purchasing in terms of quality, price, supply efficiency and customer service.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Good product and market knowledge, knows and understands the food and beverage industry and environment
- Pro-active, professional and organized

Ability to commute/relocate:

- White River, Mpumalanga: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
