Purchase supply of products/materials
Determine the lowest cost for products/materials
Track and record orders
Receive orders and document arrivals
Follow up the material delivery schedule as per ETA and whether payment is done/credits processed.
Manage supply base
Analyse market and delivery systems
Source and interview vendors; negotiate contracts and costs
Analyze supply base
Prepare requisitions and purchase orders
Monitor order expenses
Organize and schedule purchases in a timely manner
Communicate performances and costs to management
Recommend new processes or systems for improvement; implement new ideas and strategies
Communicate with vendors, clients, customers, team members, and managers to align goals
Operate equipment and follow all safety procedures
Comply to scorecard measurement system to track values.
Maintain the confidentiality of the Company’s financial information, Stock sheets, and Transaction details

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor’s degree in procurement, business, finance, or related field
Proficient computer skills
Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets.
Physically fit and able, to stand, bend, squat, and lift.
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
At least 10 - 15 years’ experience in procurement in the steelmaking environment.
Experience in industry procedures, costs, and terms.
Must have applied procurement skills in the Cape area and surrounds.
