You will be supported by our IT Administrator who will report to you on a day to day basis and you will collaborate closely with our Information Security Manager.

**These will be your key performance areas**:
1) Participate as a senior member of the Information Security Committee

As part of our ISO 27001 and 9001 compliant IMS as well as our Privacy Information Management System (PIMS) your duties will include the following:

- Collaborate with the Information Security Manager to develop and implement IT related information security policies, procedures, and controls, and to ensure that the organization's information systems and assets are secure and comply with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
- Participate as a senior member of the Change Advisory Board.
- Participate as a senior member of the Incident Response Team and take the lead on any IT related incidents.
- Participate as a senior member in the Management Review meetings.
- Participate in required Internal and External ISO related Audits.
- Support with Information Security, Privacy & IT awareness training.
- Coordinate with and support System & Information Owners and maintain compliance register accordingly.
- Take a leading role in the implementation of our Control Implementation Plan.

2) Technology Procurement & Vendor Management
- Identify business needs and specify the requirements for new software and hardware solutions or tools.
- Research and evaluate potential solutions or tools based on technical requirements, functionality, cost, and compatibility with existing systems and infrastructure.
- Work with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate contracts, and ensure that service level agreements are met.
- Assess and manage risks associated with the implementation of new solutions or tools, including potential security risks.
- Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that new solutions or tools are properly integrated into existing systems and workflows.
- Develop and Maintain IT related operation procedures
- Develop and maintain documentation and procedures related to the selection, implementation, and management of software and hardware solutions or tools.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in the organization's systems and infrastructure.

3) Deploy, integrate and manage our IT Systems
- Overseeing and determining timeframes for our IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of new and existing solutions or tools and make recommendations for improvements or changes as needed.
- Ensure that all software and hardware solutions or tools are properly licensed, maintained, and updated in accordance with vendor agreements and best practices.
- Manage our chosen Identity Management tool, set up and arrange SSO across the business.
- Run regular checks on network and data security and provide feedback reports to required forums.
- Helpdesk management: Ensure internal IT support requests are dealt with timeously and effectively.
- Conducting planned systems and requested IT audits.
- Monitor, maintain and report on our IT infrastructure.
- Ensure security of data, network access, and backup systems.
- Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time.
- Upkeep of IT equipment management, asset management, check-in & check out, insurance, etc
- Manage IT staff by training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance.
- Identifying opportunities for team training and skills advancements.

4) Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides
- Advise on and manage the IT budget to ensure that technology investments are aligned with the company's strategic objectives and financial goals.
- Developing and implementing IT governance frameworks, policies and procedures to ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices.
- Conducting periodic reviews and updates of IT policies and procedures to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
- Identifying and evaluating emerging technologies and trends to determine potential impact on the business and develop corresponding policies and guidelines.
