**HEAD OF OPERATIONS**

Operations, Johannesburg - **EQUITY BONDED**

**Job Purpose**

The Head of Operations plays a strategic and tactical role in the implemetation of the manufacturing strategy and strategic operational goals to exceed customer expectations for product quality, cost and delivery, maximising efficiency, optimising production levels and driving operational excellence. Work closely with internal and external key stakeholders, regarding technical support for activities, striving for best in class practices and business processes to deliver to the customer's expectations, managing teams and projects across the manufacturing function.

Drive Key Performance Indicators across all areas of the Manufacturing function to ensure that all projects including World Class Manaufacturing process are delivered on cost and on time to the highest quality standards. Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental issues are prioritised and facilitated, direct and drive implementation of Lean Business strategy and drive Continuous Improvement across all manufacturing related areas of the business. Provide clear leadership and vision, inspire and motivate staff to achieve excellence and ensure continous capability building. The role is also accountable for setting an operational framework for, governing, monitoring, enabling and supporting continuous improvement and implementation of best practice across all Regions.

**Key Accountabilities and Outputs**

**KPI 1: Designs, implements, and drives the** **Operations, Manufacturing and Engineering** **Strategy as aligned to business objectives.**
- Oversee the development and implementation of the BevCo operations, manufacturing and engineering strategies and approaches to ensure that the company reaches its production targets as aligned to the business goals.
- Designs, implements and enforces operational management and execution re-engineering policies and procedures to ensure they are aligned with business processes, tactical planning & strategic vision.
- Evaluate manufacturing and production performance by analysing and interpreting data and metrics.
- Collaborate with the Chief Operations Officer on one-to-three-year plans for business growth, evolution and realised efficiencies.
- Measures effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes both internally and externally and finds ways to improve a such processes.
- Develops and implements growth strategies in collaboration with the COO and Regions on annual operating plans that supports the company's long-term operations strategy.

**KPI 2: Design, implementation and enforcement of the** **Operations, Manufacturing and Engineering** **Operating Model**
- Designs and implements the framework and operational enhancements for operational and engineering management across the business.
- Identifies critical service and efficiency points to support and enhance operational and engineering capabilities across the business.
- Develops and recommends to the Chief Operations Officer the manufacturing plans, operational requirements, organisational structure, staffing and budgets that support operational and engineering programmes, strategies, and operations.
- Designs and resources the operational and engineering functions operating model.
- Updates, amends and devises changes to the operating model as the business grows and develops.

**KPI 3: Business Improvement and Operational Enhancements**
- Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analysing production performance records and data.
- Manages, directs and monitors the operational production and manufacturing teams to ensure that critical performance areas and targets are achieved.
- Sets and monitors achievement of production plans in collaboration with central planning.
- Liaises with the Chief Operations Officer on the conduct of the day-to-day operations of the Company towards the achievement of its established goals.
- Brief the Chief Operations Officer on operational matters for review in advance of meetings of the Board; attend meetings of the Board and its Committees if required to present the information necessary or relevant to the Board or such Committee.

**KPI 4: Financial and Budget Management**
- Manages the sound and effective Financial Management and that all targets are met, and budgets are adhered to.
- Annual budgeting and costing responsibilities for all operations, manufacturing, and engineering.
- Works with financial Business Partner to set and analyse financial projections.
- Manage costs and adherence to financial guidelines and thus ensure proper control over expenditure.
- Pursue divisional targets and manage the financial health and stability of department.

**KPI 5: Manufacturing Framework Management**
- Manage the manufacturing operating models and workflow implementation and adherence across factories.
- Sets guidelines, designs systems, and determines procedures and production quality criteria to
