**RECEPTIONIST**
The purpose of the position is to correspond with local and international guests at the property and to balance the daily revenue report.
**Minimum Experience and Qualification Required**:
- Grade 12
- Post matric hotel school qualification would be advantageous
- 1-2 years’ experience in a five-star property
- Computer literacy
- Excellent communication skills
- Good numeracy skills
- High level of English proficiency
- Must be motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic
- Must be a team player, with a positive attitude
- Must be willing to work shifts
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Own transport preferable
**Key Performance Objectives**:
- Handle guest inquiries in a professional and effective manner:
- Ensure knowledge of hotel room categories and layout of the property
- Ensure knowledge of different offerings at the property
- Resolution of customer complaints.
- Sense ownership.
- Management of guest accounts:
- Pit checks to be done on each shift daily
- Operate the hotel’s Property Management System: OPERA Cloud.
- Check guest in upon arrival and check them out upon departure,
- Operate the switchboard and direct calls,
- Restaurant bookings and hotel reservations, and
- Liaise effectively between departments.

- 5-Star hotel or similar environment: 2 years (required)
