**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Generate and disseminate content across various UFS social media platforms, including Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Pinterest, Giphy, TikTok, and Instagram.
- Conceptualise and implement social media campaigns.
- Monitor these platforms vigilantly, promptly responding to enquiries, and proactively identifying potential student-related issues.

**Inherent requirements**:

- A bachelor’s degree or an advanced diploma/BTech degree/postgraduate certificate on NQF Level 7 in Journalism/Media/Marketing.
- A minimum of one (1) year relevant working experience relating to the duties and responsibilities.

**Recommendations**:

- Knowledge of the social media environment and writing content for social media platforms.
- Advanced working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, and the Internet.
- Basic photography skills.
- Basic videography skills.
- Proven experience in managing social media platforms.
- Proven experience in the conceptualisation and execution of social media campaigns.
- Proficiency in social media management tools (Brandwatch, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, etc.)
- Demonstrate knowledge of multi-media journalism.

**Salary**:
The annual remuneration package, including benefits is R 388 426.59 - R 487 479.38 per annum, depending on the budget available for the position, relevant work experience and qualifications.
