This role leads the process of translating business requirements into technology solution mandate and consolidates the needs of different functional areas in order to prioritize resourcing effectively as well as eliminate any duplication**experience and qualifications**:

- Relevant Financial degree or Engineering degree
- Post graduate qualification will be beneficial
- 5+ years’ relevant experience across a CIB environment with exposure to the Front Office, Middle Office, Support areas and technology. Competences:

**responsibilities**:

- Enablement of Banking Division Strategic Initiatives:

- Work with Business Units to understand the vision and strategy for their businesses
- Define goals and create a vision for development projects, in line with business strategy
- Establish overall area budget that enables achievement of business strategy
- Oversee Product Owners to facilitate prioritisation and sequencing of strategic initiatives to provide execution direction o delivery partners
- Oversee Business Architecture and Business Analysis to ensure solutions are in line with Enterprise capabilities
- Oversee delivery via Project Managers and Scrum Masters to track delivery of prioritised strategic initiatives to facilitate faster deliver to client and stakeholders
- Facilitate the Quarterly Business Review Process with Product Owners and Scrum Masters
- Make trade off decisions on conflicting business requirements, to help manage capacity and budgets
- Present business cases and assess cost, viability, and benefits of different options to execute on strategic initiatives
- Provide direction to the business on options to fulfil strategic requirements
- Track and monitor progress against objectives and take corrective action where appropriate
- Act as an escalation point for the enhancement and change book of work
- Set-up and oversight of change initiatives:

- Work closely with business, IT and other support areas to set up delivery teams that will deliver strategic initiatives
- Post-implementation: provide on-going oversight of operational performance in order to track benefits of implementation
- New product, process, platform and business development
- Facilitate the development and delivery of new products, processes, platform and/or business
- development where required in response to new client requests, changing market conditions
- changing regulatory requirements and competitor offerings.
- Guide, steer and co-ordinate new product development initiatives to deliver on the strategy.
- Oversight of ad hoc initiatives:

- Oversee the facilitation of prioritisation and implementation of ad hoc team initiatives as required. These could be big change initiatives or small enhancements requirements
- Leadership:

- Lead a team of Business Managers, Business Architects, Business Analysts, Project Managers and Scrum Masters and ensure adequate resourcing for strategic initiatives, in line with agreed budgets
- Build a high-performance culture team
- Carry out performance discussions and team development in line with role requirements and career plans
- Take accountability of the overall performance of the team
- Represent the business in relevant Committees and Exco’s
- Adherence to governance and control framework and processes:

- Ensure change initiatives are prioritised and budgeted for at the correct governance levels
- Ensure governance and policy frameworks are communicated and adhered to
- Ensure the business is prepared for regulatory and legislative change
- Ensure compliance standards are adhered to across the function
- Make sequencing and planning decisions at the Quarterly Business Review sessions
- Stakeholder engagement:

- Build relationships with key stakeholders to understand their current and future business requirements, displaying abilities to listen, advise, influence, negotiate and present at all levels
- Influence the prioritisation of delivery of competing initiatives in line with stakeholder expectations
- Continually engage with stakeholders to provide on-going feedback on progress of prioritised initiatives
- Lobby, engage and report to relevant Exco’s where required
- Identify opportunities to share knowledge, conduct training where appropriate, including lessons learnt
