Community Mobiliser: Covid Response and Maintenance

- The index case identifiers will be responsible to identify all the index clients and also the key populations to focus on. Responsibilities include screening potential clients after being identified, then arranging that they move to the next part of the vaccination process. The aim of the identifiers is to ensure that the facilities reach the right people and link them to centres and vaccination teams._

**Key duties and responsibilities**:
**Index Case Mobilisation**
- Identify families and individuals to be offered COVID testing services
- Establish relation with the possible / potential clients / families to be tested
- Conduct the community and facility health talks to the identified Index clients
- Conduct the screening of all the index possible clients in the community and facility
- Compile a list and make appointments for the testing to be done either facility or home
- Liaise with the Community base testing partner to offer testing to the identified individuals or families***

**Increase COVID case identification and linkage to care**
- Advocate for index testing in the supported facilities and conduct direct service delivery of index.
- Support the Community index testing by provision of compiled lists of the newly diagnosed clients
- Ensure that all clients tested positive are tracked and reported on, and monitored for vaccination post infection
- Work with the Local traditional health practitioners to arrange testing for their clients
- Work with the Extended hours counsellors to test and index clients
- Follow up on clients who have not been vaccinated and who have not received their 2nd dose where required

**Data Management & Reporting**
- Assist the facility lay counsellors in completing the index registers
- Accurately report all activities performed to line manager
- Submit training and in-service reports weekly to data administrator
- Submit on-sites weekly to M&E officers.
- Compile monthly reports of all activities conducted in the reporting period and submit to line manager.

**Minimum qualifications, skills and experience required**: Qualifications and experience**
- Grade 12
- Trained in basic counselling and testing
- At least 2 years of experience working with COVID response projects
- Shown affiliation and passion with community-based activities
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills are required
- Ability to speak 2 or more local languages is highly advantageous
- ** Willingness to travel between sites and facilities as part of a roving team**
