Conservation Officer

**CONSERVATION OFFICER**

**MalaMala Game Reserve is looking for a conservation officer to join our team on the reserve.**

**Qualifications and experience**
Minimum of a National Diploma in Nature Conservation with a minimum of three years’ work experience of which at least one year is in reserve management in a big five environment.

Alternatively, a degree in one of the environmental sciences with a minimum of two year’s field work of which at least one year is in a big five environment.

Must have experience with GIS mapping programs, preferably with Q or ARC.

Experience with Microsoft suite of programs: word, excel and PowerPoint.

Chainsaw and brush cutter training/knowledge would be beneficial.

Firearm competencies in rifle and shotgun preferable.

Fire management qualifications would be an advantage.

Driver’s license with PDP.

involvement in the establishment of guiding procedures and viewing protocols
