**Responsibilities include but not limited to**:

- Meticulous in all aspects of Managing the Guiding Department
- Managing, Overseeing and Disciplining Staff in the Guiding Department
- Staff training and development
- Assisting the marketing manager to get content for social media
- All administrative duties pertaining to the Guiding Department
- Overseeing and Management of the Portfolio’s Fleet
- Allocation of rangers and trackers to daily game drives
- Daily Game Drives & Bush walks
- Hosting Duties
- Allocation of Airport Transfers
- Guest Activity and Airport Transfers
- Little paws program
- Assistance around the lodge in other departments if needed
- Photographic safaris
- Reporting to Group Operations Manager(s) and Head Office

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Valid RSA Driver's License and PDP
- South African Identity
- First Aid
- FGASA Level 2 - Field Guide
- Trails Guide
- Firearm competency
- Matric (Must have passed grade 12)

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a Big 5 reserve and 5-star lodge necessary
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a Big 5 reserve
- Experience in wildlife photography will be an advantage
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Proficiency in English (additional language skills are advantageous).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities to ensure smooth safari operations.
- A passion for wildlife conservation and a commitment to sustainable tourism practices.
- Ability to remain composed under pressure and handle emergency situations professionally.
- A history of delivering exceptional guest experiences and exceeding expectations.

**Package**:

- R10,000 per month - Salary is negotiable depending on qualification, experience and references

- Meals while on duty
- 21 days on7 days off work cycle
- 15 days annual leave
