Trade and Partnership Marketing Manager

We’re looking for an experienced marketing manager who has a deep appreciation of brand alignment and understands how to use both traditional and digital communications channels to hit campaign and business objectives, to ensure consistent and engaging messaging. Experience in the travel trade, and strong communication and copywriting skills will be an advantage.

*This position can be based in either Johannesburg (preferable) or Cape Town and will be semi-remote*

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Helps the team to develop creative concepts, and brand and activation campaigns that deliver against marketing and business objectives.
- Responsible for the user experience of our gold Trade Partners and their customers.
- Acts and contributes to relevant segmentation strategies for our Trade partners and develops marketing campaigns suitable for each category.
- Responsible for the creation of collateral that supports all our go-to-market campaigns and Trade communications, including but not exclusive to itineraries, Q&As and other supporting documents and touchpoints.
- Ensures all brand experience touch points - both offline and online - are connected and considered, ensuring a seamless user journey for all Trade Partners.
- Contributes to the development of our creative Trade collateral to help Wilderness’ Sales teams promote and sell our products (such as maps, sales tools, brochures, agent manuals, trade show exhibits, PowerPoint presentations) and marketing communication (through-the-line campaigns).
- Responsible for the creation of collateral that supports the training needs of our marketing campaigns and communications to trade, including Q&As, infographics and other documents.
- Collaborates and briefs writers, designers, photographers and videographers, both in-house and freelancers, where needed.
- Contributes to development of the Trade Marketing strategy.
- Builds relationships and collaborates with key stakeholders across the group.
- Collaborates with external commercial partners from time to time.

**CANDIDATE PROFILE**

**Qualification:

- **
- A bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field

**Experience:

- **
- 8+ years’ experience in marketing
- Strong digital experience and exposure to established and successful brands
- Experience in the travel trade and luxury hospitality a plus
- Team environment working experience

- Mature and grounded; able to work with an array of internal stakeholders
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

- A passion for current design trends coupled with deep understanding of the full guest/consumer experience
- Someone open to feedback and who knows how and when to defend design choices

- Excellent storyteller and a confident presenter
- Ability to marry creativity with business acumen.
- Expertise in UX and UI digital design, graphic design, print and campaign work
- Copywriting ability is a prerequisite, with a strong appreciation for art direction as a supporting skill set
- Exposure to multiple design software and tools; constantly looking to improve processes and ways of working.
