**Technical Sales Representative**

The technical sales representative is a person who will be responsible for customer relations, engagement and sales. The technical sales representative will be tech savvy and understand the Smartee product set, technology, building blocks and capabilities to scope and propose solutions to customers. The sales representative will be able to use their networking skills to build a pipeline for sales and execute on the sale by feeding into the product development team and creating a final proposal and product to the customer to sign a contract for business.

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Engaging with customers and potential customers to build a sales pipeline.
- Creating a sales and marketing plan
- Creating product and marketing documentation
- Gathering customer requirements and feeding into the team for development of product - Creating specifications.
- Interpreting customer requirements and using knowledge of Smartee’s capabilities to create a solution with the customer for proposal and development.
- Understanding the customer landscape to develop and build solutions and products including competitor and price analysis.
- Create and document solutions and proposals.

**Job Brief**

We are looking for a Technical Sales Representative who has the ability to network and engage with customers effectively on a technical and sales level. The Technical Sales Representative’s main goal will be to scope solutions, provide input to the technical teams and generate sales. The person will be measured against a sales target and will need to delivery on all the requirements required to close a sale with a customer.

**Requirements and Skills**
- Experience in a technical sales role
- Experience with technology products and technology in general to enable a solutioning type of sales process.
- Strong and loud personality with who customer can engage and relate to
- Understanding of software solutions, Internet of Things hardware solutions, telemetry data solutions and solution scoping.
- Willingness to get involved into deep technical discussions with the ability to translate complex products simplistically to customers.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Analytical ability to solve problems quickly
- Financial knowledge to create appropriate proposals to customers.
- Marketing and sales skillsets
- The ability to create product material to enable the sales process
- The ability to build s a sales pipeline and roadmap and execute against the plans.
- Graduates and less than 2-year experience will be considered.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Graduate

**Salary**: R17,000.00 - R19,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Sales: 1 year (preferred)
- Technical Sales: 1 year (preferred)
- Sales in Technology Products: 1 year (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 50% (preferred)
