- Oversee the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting tasks, including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts regularly.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies or variances.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct month-end and year-end close processes efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and improve accounting processes and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, promoting professional growth and development.
- Assist with external audits and ensure timely submission of required documentation.
- Perform other ad-hoc financial tasks and projects as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is a plus.
- Proven 4-5 years work experience as a Senior Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Excel. Experience with Sage Accounting is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide others.
- Assist with operational and administrative tasks
- Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Dynamic, self-motivated, takes responsibility and ownership of tasks
- Works independently
- Attention to detail

Pay: Up to R20 000,00 per month
