This specific position that we are recruiting for is in SIQALO Foods Pty Ltd, a Remgro Group Company and market leader in Spreads with the well-known brands Rama, Stork and Flora. SIQALO Foods works in partnership with RCL Foods.

Our Talent Team are currently looking for a dynamic Manufacturing Executive to join the SIQALO Foods Business. The role will be based at the Siqalo Plant in Boksburg and report to the Operating Unit Director.

The Manufacturing Executive is responsible for operating a factory (or factories) as per agreed standards and legislation. S/he leads manufacturing activities in the factory to achieve desired service levels on time. The manufacturing executive is accountable to deliver site targets following the supply chain and business strategies including targets on service, costs, productivity, quality, innovation and OSHE.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Strategy Execution and formulation**
- Work in conjunction with the Operating Unit Director to co-create the Manufacturing strategy, based on 5 year business plan.
- Determine operational capacity requirements for the medium and the long term and plan required asset utilisation and capex requirements accordingly.
- Pursue a site long term plan, including restructuring, re-engineering and retrofitting as agreed; prioritize and plan resources development and deployment.
- Identify manufacturing bottle necks and opportunities and develop solutions through collaboration with all relevant parties in the business.
- Work closely with cross functional teams to ensure the delivery of an integrated supply chain benefit and strategic target achievement.
- Drive the implementation of improvements in operating processes and systems to optimise manufacturing efficiencies.
- Develop and deliver to annual budgets and financial results including targets on service, costs, productivity, quality, innovation and OSHE
- Co-ordinate and direct the factory and co-packer operations to achieve the agreed production plans at the specified product quality with optimum labour, energy and materials utilization.
- Enable the factory operation to achieve high level of Customer Service at optimal cost.
- Propose, agree with Siqalo Foods Executive and implement the necessary capital investments to meet the planned production requirements, safety, environmental and cost targets.
- Deliver inventory targets through efficient & effective run strategies set with the Planning & Logistics Executive.

**Operations /Production Excellence**
- Constantly monitor and drive the achievement of strategic and operational targets.
- Conduct weekly / monthly management meetings to address challenges, review performance and plan for future optimum performance.
- Identify opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of resources within the operation.
- Lead site to develop and implement continuous improvement plans to deliver site targets. Manufacturing performance management.
- Lead Focussed Improvement /RCA program to ensure activities and teams achieve required site targets.
- Engage and facilitate the implementation of innovations on site, for products, ways of working and supply chain models.
- Keep current with trends and issues in the industry, including current industry best practices and industry innovations Identify emerging cutting-edge manufacturing practices, systems, equipment, and technologies to be introduced within the region.

**Safety and Quality Leadership (Risk Management)**
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and guidelines and drive a safety culture to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain and implement food safety standards and ensure that enhancements are implemented based on on-going learning. Ensure an effective QA system and FSSC procedures are in implemented and maintained.
- Drive the SHE committee process and activities by having monthly meetings, analysing findings, and ensuring corrective action is undertaken.
- Ensure full legal compliance with all relevant legislation.
- Re-evaluate the risk profile of the operation on an annual basis.
- Mitigate risks against people and physical assets.
- Measure and manage sustainability practices for the operation.
- Ensure that security is maintained and that appropriate investigations take place where incidents occur.
- Be the statutory head of factory where there is a legal separation.

**Maintenance Management**
- Ensure all legal and regulatory and statutory standards (OSHACT and Company Standards) are adhered to through the Engineering team.
- Drive and ensure effective Engineering Maintenance and Reliability program is in place to achieve world class reliability aligned to the operational and strategic plan for the manufacturing site.
- Ensure that the technical standards of all manufacturing and non-manufacturing fixed assets are maintained.
- Ensure that maintenance practices are aligned to business standards.
