- The Information Security and Governance function within the Discovery Group aims to provide assurance that the organisation’s information assets are adequately protected against threats on a continual basis. This is achieved by finding the right balance of information security and business freedom.**Key Purpose**-
**Primary Functions**
- Ensure adherence to the current security policies and standards.
- Evaluation and implementation of rules according to policies and standards.
- Assist with operational tasks across multiple capabilities.
- Assist in improving current operations and procedures.
- Perform proactive research to identify and understand new threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits.
- Collaborate with team members to increase security domain knowledge
- Technically operate and manage network security capabilities
- Install and operate security measures to protect systems and information infrastructure at the perimeter

- L7 Firewall technologies/concepts
- Domain Name Services
- Mail protocols
- Secure File Transfer technologies
- Multi Factor Authentication concepts
- 802.X

**Education and Experience**
- IT related Diploma / Degree
- Technology specific qualifications: Cisco, Palo Alto, CheckPoint
- Basic Security qualifications (S+ or equivalent)
- 5+ Years experience in Information Technology
- 2+ Years experience in Information Security across 1 or more domains, primarily in the Network Security Domain
